The dress I'm wearing to my ceremony has a decent train. The dress I'm wearing to my reception has a small train, but it will be bustled. For me the length of the train wasn't the "bride" feeling issues as much as a veil is.

Mine just has a sweep train. I didn't want a really long one. The dresses get heavy enough as it is...

Mine has a very small train.

To make it feel more like a wedding dress, you could wear a cathedral length veil for the ceremony and then remove the veil for the reception. This way you don't have to worry about bustling. Smiley smile

I don't have a train either, so I'll be having a chapel length veil. Smiley smile

Mine does & I never wanted 1, I guess it depends on what dress you pick that you love. Mandmglass's way to do it is adding a chapel length veil if you want the train effect...

I have the small chapel train too that I can nicely bustle up for the reception. I just couldn't see myself with the long cathedral train.

My first dress (priv. cermeony) has no train at all..and to be honest, i only tried on 2 dresses at DB and neither of them had a train and i just didnt even think of it! Then when I went to try on more dresses for the September wedding i fell in love with a dress that has a really long beautiful train...my mother said to me "Ohhh i wish you were getting married in a church because THAT is a church dress!" but.. oh well Smiley smile

When I went dress shopping, one of my 'things' is I didn't want a super long or complicated train (or even a train at all!)..well, the dress I got has a train, not a super ornate one, just tulle, and it's fairly long *GASP* and I love it. I just hope it's not a PIA to have it bustled..And I'm sure you will still feel like a bride in gorgeous wedding dress, regardless of the train! :-)

I had a train and I will tell you it was nothing more than a huge pain in the @$$. My husband stepped on it shortly after the ceremony and broke the bustle (? - that thing that you use to clip it onto your dress) and it was so annoying to dance with, everyone kept stepping on it all night. I couldn't WAIT to get that thing off once the wedding was over!!

My dress did have a train (not a super long one tho). But the bustle was a pain. I think it will look fine without one and you have the benefit of not having to deal with a bustle.

My dress is tea-length so... negative train? lol I tried on a lot of dresses with trains and I felt so heavy and bogged down. I'm totally looking forward to dancing so that was an absolute nada for me. I think the bridal thing for me will be the veil and extra fancy fabric of the dress and crinoline. I don't wear stuff like that every day, obviously.

I ended up with a Semi-catherdral length train had to look it up on the website. OMG I didn't know it was that long. But I love that about the dress makes it feel more like a wedding for me. The other dress I loved had only a sweep train.

Mine has a catherdral train. But I wanted a big princessy dress which is why I picked that one. I was between that and another that was beautiful but didnt really have a very long train and I wanted a long train. But you don't have to have a train to be bridal!

Mine has a chapel train that I will keep bustled and a detachable watteau train (a cape) that I will use for just the ceremony. I could have made the dress without the train but I like the way it looks bustled.

My dress does not have a train, but the duster jack does, so it's a nice compromise. I get the train for walking down the aisles, and then can remove the duster and have no for the reception.
