Does David's Bridal really take 6 months to mail out my wedding dress?

I ordered my dress from a boutique in October and received it in April. With less dressmakers, post covid, things are taking a little longer. Plus any holidays or shipping delays.

Some of the shops I looked at said that post-Covid that it can take up to a year. They said that most dresses come from China and that customs/shipping delays have been building up.

No experience with David's bridal but I was quoted 9 months for my dress to arrive

I have heard David's is fast my dress from a large boutique took 5 months September 2021- Feb 2022

I ordered my dress in February and was told 6 months and it arrived 4 weeks later. I think they are overexaggerating because of the recent shipping issues.

DB may be more responsive with the online purchases because the person may be comparing different gowns through online purchases. Does DB give a time of delivery for online purchases?

Yes probably. I didn't get my wedding dress there but I ordered a bridesmaids dress from there last June and it didn't arrive until December! Even then, it arrived a size too small and they couldn't get me a new one in time for the wedding in March! I'm sure they are more accommodating and work harder for brides than they do bridal party but just be warned and my advice to all women is to ALWAYS size up for formal dresses.

Thank you all for the comments! I guess it's a different experience for each person, but it sounds like waiting several months is more normal anywhere you go. We will just have to wait and see then, when the dress will actually arrive. Sonia, I definitely sized up and I'm so glad that I did! Was undecided about which size to order initially.
