Does a photo booth count as a favor?

ThePrincessBride, on March 11, 2013 at 4:40 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 20

I was talking with another engaged friend and she mentioned she was using the photo booth as wedding favors seeing as a lot of people throw them away this something people will probably keep Smiley smile should I just leave it at that for favors? Thoughts ladies?

I did a photobooth and favors (just a simple little box of candy). but that was only because our table decor was REALLY simple and i needed something to liven it up. i think it's perfectly fine to consider a photobooth picture your favor. my guests LOVED the photobooth!

Yes I think so, thats what I'm doing. From what I have read favors are often a waste of money, so I chose to spend that money on a photo booth instead! Much more fun and an awesome favor!

We had a photo booth at our wedding and people loved it! It was a DIY one, so it didn't cost me a ridiculous amount and guests kept their copies (and I'll be getting more copies of them for some folks eventually.) We also did some edible favors, so it all worked out for us, but I'd be happy with a photo from a photo booth as a favor.

Welcome to WW, Princess Bride! I hope you'll update your avatar (the rings) to ANY unique picture we can more easily remember you by in the future! This post tells you how to do that and more: https://www.weddingwire.com/wedding-forums/welcome-to-the-weddingwire-forums-please-read-if-you-are-new/b433c40c1a62b96a.html

I like those as favors! Personally, i'd rather go hang some cute/funny pictures of me and FH on my refrigerator rather than take home something with someone elses name on it! I've seen where you can make them into bookmarks. I've also seen little plastic holders. I think it's a good idea!

We did! And I got flat plastic frames with a magnet on the back made for photobooth pics (they were $1 each after shipping) so people could hang them on their fridges with minimal additional effort and they look "finished." It's so fun to go to friend's houses now and see the pics from our wedding on there Smiley smile

We offer a photobooth as well. Many brides we work with use the frames and pictures for their favors. It's definitely something more people enjoy, and something that won't go down in 30 seconds like M&M's.

Thanks ladies! I think we are just going to do that and get some frames! As for my avatar I have to be on the computer to change it and I have been using my phone to come on the site lol

I think that's perfect as a favour! My favour is taking people on a boat ride in beautiful British Columbia! We are getting married on the Wedding Yacht here in Vancouver and we have many guests coming from the Prairies so it should be a real treat. So I'm skipping the traditional favours!

I have seen them as a favor, but a frame was provided. The frame was a simple plastic stand up thing (like a smaller version of a counter sign), and contained the reception menu on pearly card stock. When guests had their photos taken taken, multiple copies of the strip were made (one for each guest, and one for a photo album the photo booth vendor prepared as a guest book. Guests then wrote their messages to the couple in the guestbook next to their photo strip, and the book was left for the couple at the end of the night to take with them. It was a really cute idea!

We are doing a photobooth and bought magnetic frames for the favor. You can also use them as an escort card so that can help justify the expense. I made them myself too easy peasy sample of the escort card below

As a photo booth vendor, I'd like to chip in my own .02 cents! I believe that guests LOVE having a picture to take home with them. You can place photo strip frames on your table with a note as pictured above and this will send your guests to the booth to take photos. If you prefer to have the frames available for sale at the booth, many guests purchase more than one! Especially those who go through the booth many many times.

With my packages, we include an attendant who will help your guests use the photo booth, keep the paper and ink stocked, and make it a seemless part of your event. We also offer a photo book option where your guests create unique page with your copy of the photo strip on provided 8x8" paper, stickers, and markers.

Please check out my website for more ideas and pricing! We'd love to give you a quote for your wedding! www.elliottsclassyphotobooth.com

I'm doing it for favors. Other than candy buffets, I've not seen favors that anyone wanted to keep that didn't break the bank.

No it doesn't, but a favor IMO is not necessary

We're having a photo booth, and I want to give photo holders as favors for our guests. I'm thinking something like this:

Of course it does!Smiley smile that's what we're doing! I think it's a fun idea. We're also providing the frames for them with an insert saying something like a thank you, and enjoy our photo booth. Theres also photo strip sleeves and magnetic frames you could look into. Who doesn't love fun pictures?Smiley smile
