Do you send invitations two months before wedding date or RSVP date?

That's exactly what I am doing.

My wedding is 9/1. RSVP date is 8/9.

I'll send them the second week of June as well so people have 6 weeks to reply.

I hear it's normally 6 - 8 weeks before the wedding. Then, I could be wrong. The checklist on here will tell you.

I sent mine exactly 2 months before my wedding date. RSVP date was one month before wedding date. I don't really know the proper etiquette I jut went with it. LOL!

Since your wedding is over Labor Day weekend, I'd send them out at least 8 weeks out from the wedding. Don't worry about the RSVP date, most of them won't mail it back anyway and you'll end up calling for headcounts.

I sent STD's out first (in Jan for July wedding), because I'm having a DW. So it took pressure off for getting invites out so soon. I just sent mine yesterday for July 15th wedding and asked for responses by June 1st. don't give guest's too long (over a month) to reply or they forget about it.

Ours are going out 8 weeks before the wedding. Even though we sent save the dates, its a holiday weekend and we want everyone to have time to plan.
