Do you reach out again or get annoyed and forget it?

If it's the first time, I'll typically follow up again. If it becomes a habit, I won't chase after them.

I agree with Caytlyn. I'd say something like "Just following up to see if you received my message. I look forward to hearing from you!". After that, forget them. If they aren't responsive, you definitely don't want to rely on them for your wedding day.

For photographers, cake artists, and DJs you have to figure they work all weekend Friday to Sunday night. They don't have a weekend like normal. They usually take Monday and Tuesday off to even out their week. If you email them on a Friday you can bet by Wednesday when they get back to work your email is buried in their inbox. I would follow up again and then make a habit of checking in sometime in the middle of the week and not on the weekend.

I get annoyed for sure esp after I follow up and it still doesn't happen

I definitely see it on both sides! It's annoying for sure when a vendor is poor at comunicating. Especially one that you want to trust your day in. But on the other hand, they are busy too! I'd follow up one more time. Another thing to note- some vendors are picky on who they work with. If you are inquiring about a date, and another bride who will pay for a more expensive package is inquiring about the same date, sometimes it won't work out in your favor. (This happened to me.) The florist didn't respond for weeks until I probably annoyed the crap out of her and she finally emailed me back that she had booked my date with someone else. So upset about it but you will find a great vendor regardless!

Only if its someone i want to actually pursue. If they don't have the courtesy to answer me on the first go around i don't bother but if we've had some dialogue already i will contact again.
