No. You don't. A lot of people don't. There are several threads a week about themes that you can search.

You don't need to have a theme. Do you have specific colors that you want? If so just go that route.

Most people go with "we're getting married." So yeah, you don't.

No theme here. Go with what you love and it'll look amazing, theme or no theme.

You don't need a theme but you should have some kind of vision of how you want your wedding to look and feel.

I recently showed my mom a centerpiece mockup and she asked what my theme was. I told her that my theme was that my wedding is in Arizona and I don't want to have too much stuff.

...so no, you don't need one.

My theme is wedding. Colors are navy & blush lol i think having a theme is ridiculous it's not a birthday party.

Nope not really. Ours is 'fall' because we are getting married in the fall. There is no theme besides that.

Most people don't usually even have a theme. However, I decided mine was "Winter Wonderland" themed. But only because when people ask you to describe how you envision your day, that is what I always said. So it just stuck I guess. lol

You don't need a theme necessarily, just how you want your wedding to feel and that it is cohesive. We aren't doing a theme per say...we are incorporating some subtle firefighter things into our wedding, but don't want it to scream "Firefighter" wedding. We will have a cute turnout jacket ring bearer pillow, axe cake cutter, can coozies, and possibly a cake topper if we can find one. But that will be it.

Do you HAVE to? Simple answer, no.

Should you have a wedding that reflects your taste, love and personality while staying within budget & being a good hostess, yes and as much as possible.

All you 'have to have' is: an officiant, a license, and two people who want to get married (in some states you need two witnesses, too). and that is IT. Keep that in mind, and you will save yourself a ton of money and stress on STDs, table runners, chair covers, etc. None of it makes you one whit more married.

There is nothing wrong with themes but I feel like sometimes they will drive you crazy cause you are trying to make sure you stay within the theme. I say go with what you feel.

You dont need a theme but it is a good idea to have a" style". Most people have colors they like and the formality of the venue, also flowers and center pieces can really bring everything together.

My theme is romantic vintage but I am throwing in white pumpkins and few love birds (its not my theme but I love it). We are keeping the colors pink, grey ,whites and flowers to bring everything together

But unless you already have a venue you really shouldnt get your self all worried about colors or flowers. Your venue & wedding date will really shape what you end up doing.
