Do you have a final meeting with your vendors before the wedding?

HappilyEverAfter329, on February 9, 2018 at 9:20 PM Posted in Planning 0 9

I haven't spoke with any of my vendors since I booked them. My wedding is in 2 months. I was wondering if I should contact them or if this is normal

I recommend contacting them to confirm final details. I contacted all my vendors a month before and then the week of the wedding. It never hurts to check and double check all your details with your vendors.

I have a meeting 6 weeks before wedding and 2 weeks. Any vendors not through them, like my photographer, I’ll contact separately

Yes! About 3 weeks before I recommend meeting with everyone and going over your time line and expectations

I'm meeting with everyone (virtually because I am far away from my wedding venue) then having a walk through with the venue and caterer the week of the wedding. I'm also updating my venue with the info for all of the vendors.

My wedding is also in 2 months, I have a lot of appointments coming up. You should definitely be meeting with the venue/event coordinator and photographer and deciding things with them soon. Vendors like the DJ, I believe you generally would meet with them closer to, maybe 1 month to 3 weeks out.

You can also add a personal touch by sending each of them an invitation! I saw that my photographer posted on her Instagram that she got an invitation and she loved it. I bet it’s going to make her experience photographing them much more personal.

Yes, my wedding is march 3, and on February 15 I have my final meetings with my DOC, venue and caterer. I had my final meeting with my DJ a few weeks ago. My photographer had me fill out a questionnaire a few days ago so I imagine she's putting something together but I'll still follow up with her the week before the wedding.
