Do wedding colors have to go with the season?

Hey Amber! You can actually do whatever you want. We’re getting married this month & most of our colors are kinda ‘fall-ish’. If you want to do dark colors in April it is perfectly fine. It doesn’t have to match the season whatsoever. For inspiration I would recommend Pinterest. If you have any ideas in mind I am pretty sure you’ll be able to find them on Pinterest.

I say go with whatever colors you want! I had a dusty blue for an October wedding and no one batted an eye. (Faces and tattoos covered for privacy)

You can make any color work in any season. However, you want to consider the weather -- probably best to stay away from dark colors in summer or your bridesmaids' dresses may get uncomfortable.

Feel free to pick whatever colors you want! We used a color palette (Marsala and Blush) that is often listed under Fall weddings on Pinterest for our April wedding. We simply liked the colors, and thought they went well with our venue.

First off congratulations on getting engaged! Now the fun begins 🙌🏽 I agree with others you can pick the colors that you like. There are other ways to make it “acceptable” to the season doesn’t have to be in just the color scheme. I’m getting married in October & we are doing Gold & Bronze with touches of black. We’ll have white flowers & linens though. I wanted something elegant but modern at the same time I didn’t wanna go the typical fall colors. Think of what’s the main color you want then play off of that! Happy planning ✨💛

Do whatever you want! My wedding is in early November and of course everyone started suggesting your usual fall colors. Orange, browns, reds, etc. I was not into it. I chose dark purple and dark green with lavender and peach accent colors. So the dark colors do kind of go with the season but then I get my pops of bright colors in there.
