Do my engagement pictures and wedding colors need to match?

No they don’t need to match

Ours didn't! We took outdoorsy engagement pictures, so we were hunting & fishing in ours. That for sure did not match our wedding!

Any colors are fine

We did not match our wedding colors. Our colors are burgundy blush and gray and we wore shades of blue for our outfits. We matched each other in both outfits we wore but not our wedding colors.

I don't think the colors need to necessarily match! If it is important to you to include a picture for the invitations and you want those to be heavily colored to match your theme, consider if this is a deal breaker for you! Otherwise, have a blast and wear whatever makes you feel most beautiful

Our wedding is formal, main color is light gray. Our engagement photos were more relaxed and casual imo, I wore we wore blue in both sessions. Definitely didn’t match and everything turned out great.
