do it yourself help!

Hi all!
For all you brides doing DIY decor, how did you determine how much to get of everything? We’re guessing a 250 guest count ( I divided 250/8= 8 people per table so 32 tables). Did you all do the same? I’m getting my own greenery and candles.

That’s the math equation for centerpieces... unless your venue has tables sized for 10 seats.

Ask your venue how many people they will put at a table and the shape of the tables. My tables are a mix of long rectangles (which will hold 3 centerpieces) and round tables. This is just how they fit people into the room. It was important for me to know that to determine how many centerpieces I needed. Hope that helps.

    Hey Kristin!

Do you have any idea of what size or style centerpieces you want to create? This will make a huge impact on how much supplies you need to get to make them.

I would also double-check with your venue that they will seat 8 people per table. Just to be on the safe side before you make any final decisions.

These are my inspiration photos! The venue itself comes with standard banquet/ long tables and round tables that do hold at least 8 but can go up to 10. I would like to substitute the regular tables for 6 farm tables- 2 for the head table and 2 for his side of the family and 2 for my side of the family.

That is the general math equation but you will need to check with your venue to see if they have round tables that fit 8 or 10 or rectangle tables that can fit 10 or 12.
