Do I really have to wear heels???

SuchaDiva, on October 28, 2009 at 1:54 AM Posted in Planning 0 28

I am wondering if I really have to wear heels? I am nota big fan of them. Ever since my son was born when i wear heels I feel like I am going to fall. What other kind of shoes can I wear?

I am thinking about getting chucks... No one can see them and they are comfy.... The only time will be during the reception and even then they are the color of my wedding so it will all match... It is your day wear what you want...

I recently had a wedding where the bride and groom both wore tennis shoes. The guys were in nice suits and black tennies. The bride had fancy embellished tennis shoes. She was very happy all day without the pain.

Wear what you want to wear! Be comfortable! If you want to wear flip flops or ballet flats - or whatever - wear them! I'm wearing heels during the ceremony and then change into some flats for the reception!

Its your day. Be comfortable, if you do not like heels do not wear them, very simple. If you need some height added you could wear a platform type shoe that puts your foot at a slat without the balancing act.

    Best Wishes,

I am not wearing heels because my FH is not much taller than me and he wouldn't like it. I wear them normally and the height difference doesn't bother either of us but on our big day I am just wearing really nice flip flops....and no they will not make noise when I walk down the isle.

I found dress shoes with a 5/8'' heel. They are really cute but don't hurt and still fancy enough to match my dress. I can't deal with my feet hurting and I don't want to be too tall since I am already 5'9''

Be weary of changing drastic heights of heals from ceremony to reception. Having your dress drag on the floor and triping over it all night could be difficult.

I'm doing a low chunky heel (once I find the perfect shoe!) and then I'll have the ballet flats for dancing.

Thanks Rachiel, I didn't event consider the height difference, I'll have to keep that in mind!

I say wear whatever you want & makes you comfortable.I'm not wearing heels b/c well the ceremony is in the grass outside and heels won't work even though I do like them. I might do a dressier sandal or flip flop.

I am not wearing heels knowing me I would probably trip and fall on my face I am such a klutz. I am wearing flat jelly shoes that are clear and sparkly I love them. If I am going to be wearing something on my foot all day it needs to be comfortable!

My BMs and I are wearing khussa slippers. They are flat, made of leather and silk, and have lots of pretty beading on them. I found them on ebay.

I have a vendor who embelishes sneakers for the bride! They look great and are one-of-a-kind. It's important that you're comfortable! Have a great day and let me know if you're interested n the sneakers. I can get you her contact info.
