Do i need a dj for our ceremony?

This may be a silly question but I'm not sure.. I figured you only need the DJ for the reception portion, but is that incorrect? I’m getting married in a chapel and I figured they provide the music when you walk down the aisle. Or is that not a given?

I would check with your contact at the chapel and ask them if they have someone there to run sound. If not, my next question would be, will you have access to the PA system to hook up your own audio. Our venue has a sound system that lets us Bluetooth connect and play our music through Spotify. Even if they do have someone there to run sound for you, most likely, you will have to at the very least provide the soundtracks.

    Good Luck!

I would definitely contact them and find out. I wouldn’t assume it’s provided unless they say so before hand. My venue has a sound system built in but they don’t provide any music.

If there’s a sound system already there then you wouldn’t need one

I would check with your venue. Even if they have the equipment, they may not provide a person to work it.

Check with the venue, that is not a given. We had to add a ceremony system with our venue. Just call and ask.
