Do I need a bouquet for my bridal shoot?

Aly, on October 30, 2017 at 10:43 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6

Hey brides!

I wasn't planning on doing a bridal shoot, but my photographer is generously giving me one (yay!). I'm getting married in May, but we're actually going to do the shoot in November. Since this will be several months before the actual wedding, I'm thinking of not having a bouquet in my bridals as I haven't fully decided how I want that to look yet.

Do you think I'll be good without a bouquet? I really want the photos to focus on the dress anyway, but I have yet to see a bridal shoot where there wasn't some type of bouquet.

If I need a bouquet, do you think it can be different than my wedding day (i.e. A bouquet of greenery rather than flowers)?

Thanks!!

Soozie - yeah at first I felt the same way, but we were originally getting married in September of next year but moved it up because we didn't want to wait. So this will be a neat way to do photos in the season I originally wanted!

You don't need a bouquet. You'll figure out what to do with your hands depending on the environment the photos are taken in.

There are plenty you can do with and without. I'd have one ready, even if it is just a few silk flower Cala lilies with ribbon around it. Keep it simple. Some of my favorites were with my bouquet

I wish I had had one for mine. I love the look of flowers, but didn't even think about it.

I made a small silk bouquet for my bridals with the same colors I knew I'd be using for my bouquet. Cheaper than having a mock bouquet made, but it did give me something to do with my hands.
