Do i add my brother to my wedding program?

Alexandria, on November 1, 2018 at 1:19 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 6
Hey y'all! I finally finished my wedding program and now it just dawned on me that maybe I should add my brother to the participant page? His role will be to walk me down the aisle. My FH family and my family have never met (FH family is in Italy) and I would like them to know who this person is especially since most people expect to see the father walking the bride down.
What do you all think? And if i should add him, where and how (wording)?
Here's a pic of my participant page

At the top where the son of groom part is, I would add a
    “Bride escorted by
Mr. Whatever his name is, brother of the bride”

Absolutely! Like PPs said, something like "Escort of the Bride...."

I like this idea. If he's escorting you, then you should most definitely include him. That's a special role, and I'm sure people will be wondering who he is who haven't met you or your family yet.

Hi Alexandria!!! Being that your family and your future husbands family have yet to meet, I agree that your brother should be included in your program. I also think that if you really want to acknowledge him then you should totally do so! It would be so sweet and I'm sure he'll appreciate it! You could add a line under the son of the groom to say "escort" or "escort of the bride" and put "name - brother".

How is the rest of your planning coming along?

I would definitely include him. Good places to add it to your program could be at the top with the family, or after flower girl (since you, escorted by your brother, will follow the flower girl in processional)
Then the format could match easily to the rest!
