Hello everyone! My FH and I are currently looking to hire a DJ for our big day! I was just curious for those of you who are hiring/hired a DJ, about what was the cost? Hello everyone! My FH and I are currently looking to hire a DJ for our big day! I was just curious for those of you who are hiring/hired a DJ, about what was the cost? I know this varies from state, city, etc., but I’m really curious. We have priced out a couple DJs and I’m pretty sure we found one we really liked, 8 hours for about $1200 including tax. I just wanted more insight on DJ pricing as we’ve never hired a DJ before so this is all new to me! Thank you in advance! 😊

Khelia try Basco Entertainment, MADD Vybez, and look at the outlying areas such as Daytona, Deland, Debary, as some of them are offering much better prices then the ones based in Orlando.

Our DJ is 1300 from 5 to 10pm...which now that I think about it is ridiculous, but we paid the deposit already

I'm in Boston and found a DJ for $600 for 5 hours. I used Craigslist, looked up reviews, and spoke with him before booking. I'd recommend looking at Craigslist then doing your research.

$1250 for 5 hours ( could have been more hours but we didn’t need) with own equipment and dancing light. Los Angeles. It’s actually a company so if the DJ planned couldn’t make it they’d send another! Good value.

$700 for 8 hours without sound system and $850 with a sound system. Our venu has a system but they only allow their own DJ to use it (who is included in the price) but we're not sure we want to use them.

My favorite DJ so far is $1100 for ceremony, entire reception, LED dance floor, and uplighting. Just need to meet him in person!

In case you're still checking this we're going to be paying ~3k for 6 hours in Maine in January. Apparently New England must be a popular place for weddings, I don't know anyone that's paid under 2k for a DJ.

We are paying $1200 (negotiated down from $1500) for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, in Colorado. I looked at a ton of DJs, some cost more, some cost less. My advice: read reviews and ask people for recommendations. And if you have a good feeling about the one you've found and you really like them, go with it and don't stress yourself out by trying to search all the options, because that can go on forever. I think $1200 is a reasonable price.
