At the DJ booth and at a table in the kitchen. Your vendors don't need assigned seating as they'll be working.

Nowhere. They were working and when their meal came they had a private area away from the guests to eat in peace. Ask you venue about this first.

The DJ will be at his stand and the photographer will hopefully be up taking pictures...

Otherwise I would confirm with your venue where vendors generally get seated for meals. I have heard a lot of DJ's eat at their booths though. So maybe check with your vendors as well.

Wow I just got really concerned that I had to seat my vendors, like I hadn't thought of it!! But then I thought.. no. They should be doing their job. I will of course be paying for their meal, but they do not get a seat!

DJ will be at his booth, and we gave the photographers and videographers seats at tables. If they want to sit, great! If they don't, also great!

Our DJ said we didn't need to feed them, but we'll probably send some food their way at some point and they can eat at their booth.

I asked our photographer where she wants to eat, and she said we could have her sit in an empty spot at a less crowded table.

I recommend asking your vendors what they prefer.

The venue staff had side tables for eating. The photographer wanted to sit off on her own; she said that she liked having a few minutes to herself to look over what she had captured so far and breathe for a few minutes off of her feet. The musician said he never eats while he plays, and since he had to pack up for another gig later he was happy to have a doggy bag to take. Just confirm with all of them what works best for them.

I video weddings with my dad and they absolutely need a seat. Of course we are working, but we generally try to eat early on and it really sucks when we don't even have a chair. Also sometimes there are lulls and it's nice to be able to sit for a minute.

Thanks for the advice! I'll talk to my vendors and the reception venue to figure it out. I'll make sure they have somewhere to have their meals, just didn't know if they needed a designated spot at a table.

Yep, ask your venue how they typically handle vendor meals & then ask your vendors for their preference.

For us, our officiant will be leaving right after the ceremony, our photographers wish to step out for a bit (20-30min) during the meal to eat on their own & our DJ wishes to have a seated meal. He'll be there from noon til midnight, as our venue is a bit difficult to setup...we are fine with this; but he will be seated towards the back area or perhaps a better spot would be right next to the DJ booth.

ETA our venue said the options were to have a seated dinner or the vendors could walk 5-10 mins to the hotel bar for dinner....ummmmmm, no
