Diy wedding makeup

Rachel, on June 9, 2020 at 4:13 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 6
Hello! I am planning to do my own wedding makeup (never liked how anyone else does it and it’s just more cost effective) but I am wondering if anyone has suggestions for good wedding day makeup. I don’t invest a ton into fancy expensive makeup and usually use stuff that i can get at the drugstore. I had a bad experience with a Tarte liquid foundation that was pricey (caused me to break out every time i used it) so now I am fearful of this happening if I try out anything new again. Does anyone have tips or advice for this? Any products that usually won’t irritate sensitive skin? longlasting /good for photo makeup recs?

I used Mary Kay products. They’re the only products that don’t make me break out!

Hey girl! Are used to do make up professionally and I’m also doing my make up for my wedding to September.

Drugstore and long lasting, I would recommend Revlon color stay for normal to oily skin. Setting powder, I would recommend Airspun by Coty, even though it has a strong fragrance it has been around for decades and is a trick of the trade, cult favorite. Also drugstore usually five bucks.
Biggest tip, is binge YouTube videos for long lasting make up tutorials!

Also I love these looks. Super fresh and natural - exactly the look I'm going for for my wedding day and generally whenever I wear makeup!

I've been asking about makeup today, too LOL

I love your inspiration pics! I have very sensitive skin, too, and have been using covergirl trublend since it came out (but I do not do my makeup often, maybe once every other month and a few extra time for parties or holidays).

One of the suggestions on my discussion was to see if a local MUA does any workshops for help with application (I really suck at this stuff, though, so I'm in need of such help), but maybe there's one who can answer some of your questions for what to do. Another PPs suggestion for youtube videos is what I'm staring with, though.

    Good luck!!

Looks like you're going for a really natural look with warmer tones with the blush and eye shadow. I'd stick with a makeup sponge for the foundation so you get lighter application. Blot throughout the day and reapply powder to reduce shine. The photos look like they used bronzer in the usual locations, and for the contour as well. And blended everything so there are no harsh lines.

Oh, and waterproof mascara of course!
