diy Photo Booth Ideas

mkibs, on August 29, 2019 at 11:19 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 6

I was wondering what are the best options for a DIY photo booth area, on a budget!

I want to know what other brides have done to create a classy space for guests to take photos. I don't necessarily need or want props.

My FH and I chose to not rent a company to come and set one up.

I was thinking of trying to buy a 6ft floor length mirror and adding our names and wedding date in vinyl lettering onto the mirror so that guests could take "selfies" in it. It would have a background of some sort. But mirrors are expensive!

For my bridal shower my bridesmaids bought this backdrop and it was just like tinsel and they put a banner behind it and had props. It came out really nicely and was inexpensive. You could find or make some really inexpensive backdrops.

I am doing a balloon column with my wedding colors and adding a few flowers to it. I may add a sequin drape for some extra pizzazz. I will have props which I ordered from Amazon for $10. Good luck.

My venue has a cute area with a sheer curtain and lights behind it. There is a cute bench that sits in front of it. We will just set up a table with a camera and a bunch of props that I downloaded from etsy and then had printed at Staples.

Our venue has a beautiful fence with greenery all around it. We figure that should work with a chair or two from inside.

We are decorating a mirror to use at the wedding and we wanted a 6 foot by 3 foot mirror. In stores they were $100-300 CAD so I scoured kijiji and I found one for free that someone was going to use for a project but Didn't. I'd say look on Facebook marketplace etc

We’re purchasing a customized backdrop from Zazzle (which is a little over $60), leaving props out ($5), and a selfie station sign($1).
