DIY Centerpieces - Cities as Table Names

Meghan, on December 28, 2016 at 3:57 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 6

My fiance and I are having an Italian themed wedding and his mother came up with a great idea to use names of Italian cities instead of table numbers. I think it's an awesome idea but I'm a bit concerned of the chaos that may ensue as people try to find their seats. I have seen a few boards on PInterest that other brides have done with this same idea. Anyone here have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I went to one wedding where the couple used something other than a number to mark the tables. They used types of coffee/coffee beans as table signs. We didn't have any problems finding our table, but it was a fairly small wedding.

Hmm. I guess I never thought to do a number with it. We are doing different National Parks for ours. I feel like even with table numbers at all the weddings I've been to people still walk around for awhile trying to find their table. But I guess it makes sense to include a number, something we'll have to consider.

I'm doing something similar for mine (landmarks from both our homes), but I plan on including a number with them.

Sounds like doing the city with some sort of number indication is my best bet.... thank you Ladies for all your comments!

We did a similar thing for our engagement party- it was a brunch celebration. My husband and I live for brunch so it was just fitting to have a brunch party. Anyway, rather than numbering each table, we named each table with our favorite places for brunch. Yeah, guests spent a bit more time looking for their seats but no one was mad or annoyed by it.

That's a really cute idea - just avoid crazy looking font that people might not be able to read.
