But I wanted to check with u ladies to see if u had any better ideas. I don't want to make anything (which makes this not exactly DIY), I'd prefer to just pick it up from somewhere without the hassle of making it myself. What are your suggestions??? Thanks, lovelies!!! <3

I haven't read all of the comments yet but I second the idea of wholefoods catering if you can. They will deliver and their stuff is really good!

Who else remembers that Lisa thinks everyone here self caters because we don't do it "princess style?" lmao.

Nicole, I think costco platters are just okay. If you can, I would try to find a second caterer who can do hot apps for a decent price.

Anything but chick fil a. Thank god Hobby Lobby doesn't make hors....

Whole foods is mega expensive; I'd bet that hors from them will cost more than dinner.

The costco platters look okay; get some dips and crackers and throw together platters. It'll take no time at all.

We used to have people pick up hors platters from us all the time;find a reasonable local caterer and do a couple of cheese/fruit/cracker platters, some hummus and pitas, bruscetta and toasts....shouldn't cost a fortune.

I'm having a taco truck come and give the options of either nachos or a burrito.

Honestly I think some of these people are WAY overthinking these apps, if some fruit and cheese and crackers can't hold you over for an hour tops till dinner you have some issues.

Seriously Lisa, she has said NOTHING about not feeding her guests! She has food, she just wants to add to what she has planned already. WTF do people feel the need to be snarky when it is NOT warranted? I could totally get it if she said she wasn't feeding her guests, but that is far from the case here.

Just make sure everything is temperature controlled. Maybe pick up some fruit & veggie platters.

    Sweaty cheese is gross.
