DIY Aisle Runner~what did you use???

z&k, on January 7, 2011 at 8:14 PM Posted in Planning 0 4

For those that have already DIYed a monogram, did you use the regular aisle runner at Michaels, etc. or did you use fabric, like muslin. Was just wondering if the cheapo ones tore.I've read they tear pretty easily, but the muslin would hold up VERY well.I know the muslin is a lil more in price,so just from your experience...???

My sister used a cheaper one from a store like Michaels. It didn't tear, even when the rope got hung up on it, and it nearly pulled out of the boys hand as he pulled it down the aisle. We were told later that the rope is supposed to pulled with the paper rolling overhand? not underhand, if that makes sense . . .

I used acryllic paint black and my colors. Then I took my microsoft word designed it took that to kinkos and blew it up to about 200% and came home and worked it out. It was my first DIY project and it turned out not bad at all!
