distances - Church, Venue, hotel

Hi All,

Looking for guidance on distance between church, venue and hotel.

Church is 20-30 min from venue (we're in between two venues, one is 20 minutes away the other is 30 min.)

Hotel is 10 min from each venue.

Is this too much travel? I've gone to weddings in the past where everything was in one place, which was awesome. Looking for some outside input.

    I don't think it's too far. 30 minutes is typically the limit.

    That's a perfectly fine time frame for a church ceremony to a venue! The weddings where everything is in one place aren't typically a religious wedding.

    Our church is 25 minutes away from our reception venue. Our hotel with the room block is right across the street from the venue so no one has to drive after getting downtown after the ceremony! Smiley smile

    I do not think that's a lot of travel at all. i have gone to weddings where the distance from church to reception is ridiculous - like an hour gap to get there.

    i think half an hour drive isn't so bad at all for people to drive.

    I drive 30 minutes to work and 30 minutes home every day. My fiance lived 30 minutes from me for the first 2.5 years.

    I think that's fine and reasonable. Our reception venue is about 20-25 minutes from the church.

    I think it's fine! I went to a wedding once where it was about an hour drive in between and that was way too long! I think keeping it 30 minutes or less is the sweet spot for most people.

    I don’t think that’s bad at all. This cuts down on your cocktail hour of course but up to 30 is a good time. And the fact hotel is just 10 minutes away is really good.
