Disney World vs. Hawaii

biloute, on August 15, 2016 at 1:52 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 36

My FT thought of Disney World for a honeymoon, and that sounds great to me. We got really excited and started figuring out how much it would cost. And today he said maybe we could go to Hawaii. The Hawaii deal is nearly all-inclusive, with breakfast and dinner every day. We'd be responsible for lunches and anything we wanted to do on the free days that don't have included activities.

I don't know which one I'd prefer. I've been wanting to go to Hawaii for a long time, partly because it's one of the two states I have left to visit. But Disney sounds so fun!

Here's a link to the Hawaii package: http://www.hawaii-all-inclusive.net

The Disney honeymoon would include 5 nights at the All Star Music Resort, 5-day tickets with the Park Hopper and Water Parks add-ons, the Quick Service dining plan, and the Memory Maker add-on.

Pros? Cons? What's your experience/opinion when comparing the two?

They're both going to be expensive. In fact, Hawaii may even be less expensive. Personally, I'd still do Disney, but I love it there.

We are considering Hawaii too- where did you find the almost all inclusive Hawaii package? Have you tried unforgettablehoneymoons.com? Not sure if they have Disney but they had plenty of Hawaii stuff Smiley smile

You could stay at the Disney resort in Hawaii. We're doing a cruise and then 6 days at Disney world. I've never been, and my FH loves it there, so I left the planning of the honeymoon to him.

For me it would be a no brainer. I'm not a huge Disney fan. And Hawaii just seems so much more honeymooney to me.

I feel like Hawaii blows Disney out of the water, but I'm not a huge Disney fan. I've been to Disney World, and it is magical, but I enjoy amusement parks to theme parks. Disney would be more fun once I had kids, in my opinion.

Id do Hawaii.... I agree its more "honeymoon" than Disney. Plus, 5 days waiting in hot lines in theme parks...not romantic

I would go to Hawaii. I love Disney but you want romance for honeymoon not a howl bunch of kids running around.

We're going to Hawaii so I'm biased. We went last year, which is where FH proposed. It's truly the most beautiful place I've ever been. I would totally say Hawaii over Disney.

Depends if you want a relaxing honeymoon or one where you'll wake up early and be exhausted every night! I am doing Disney for my bachelorette because I love Disney. We are probably going to honeymoon in Hawaii. My opinion: Disney is easier to go to anytime, Hawaii not so easy since it is far. If you don't do Hawaii now, you may not have a chance to go when life gets in the way, kids, work, etc.

I was just about to type the same thing sailaway did.

Hawaii is romantic and beautiful. Disney is sweaty and standing in endless lines with screaming kids.

Which sounds better for a honeymoon?

I'm not saying I don't love disney.... It's great but it isn't Hawaii.

I would do Hawaii.. We are here now on our Honeymoon. We did the Norwegian Pride of America 7 day cruise around several islands in Hawaii. Sights are beautiful and breathtaking. This is a black sand beach on the big island of Hawaii.

For us, it's a no brainer. We'll be honeymooning in Disney World. We'd probably pick it 100 times over.

I LOVE Disney. But ive been numerous times, and going to Disney is days of non stop running around the parks, etc. super fun, but not what I think of for a honeymoon. Honestly it's the same reason We crossed Europe off the list. We want to be able to relax. I'd pick Hawaii.

I agree with PP, Disney seems more accessible at a later date than Hawaii. I vote Hawaii Smiley smile
