Where Did You Purchase Your Veil?

MrsLaguna, on August 4, 2014 at 9:04 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 38

Just curious where you all got your veils, I bought my dress at DB and I didn't like the veils they had so I am now in the search. Did you get it at a bridal store, or online? Please share!!!

Ebay! $13.00. Couldn't justify spending tons of money on tulle. Nope just couldn't!

DB. The embroidery on the veil was damn near the same as my dress.

I got one with my dress at the boutique I got my dress and ended up hating it when it arrived.... so I bought one from etsy instead and love it!

Etsy 40 bucks. Didn't want to spend much money for wearing something for an hour

I got mine from the bridal boutique I bought my dress at. Since I bought my dress there, they gave me a large discount so I got it for only $45!

I bought mine second hand from another bride. Cathedral length Italian silk tulle, with proof of original purchase (from a shop in Rome, oo la la!). I bought it for $700 but then promptly on-sold it to another bride for the same price.

    Win!

Etsy, 80 bux. I had a mantilla with light gold lace and champagne tulle made (to match my champagne dress). No regrets. It was a pain in the butt finding a nice veil for a champagne dress! We're so lucky to have Etsy!!

I couldn't justify the prices at DB either, but I have since decided I can't buy a veil online. I NEED to see how it looks with the dress... so we'll have to see how the search goes.

I took a chance and bought mine from DHgate. The seller is in China and I was really hesitant about it. I wanted one from David's Bridal but it was $198.00. No thanks! I found the exact one (a China replica knock off) for around 30 bucks. Gave it a shot and it totally paid off!

TheFutureMrsWade, my daughter doesn't want to buy online either, for the same reason. The boutique where she bought her dress had a beautiful one that matches her dress perfectly, however, the price was $450.00!

Her dress is called ivory, yet it looks white to me. There are so many shades of ivory she's afraid it won't match if she gets one online.

    Where else will you search?

I bought mine from abusymother on Etsy. It's plain chapel length tulle and cost about $25 if I remember correctly.

I also got my dress from DB during a sample sale. I recently ordered mines from jjshouse.com the company is based out of Hong Kong. I couldn't justify paying more than $50 for a veil. I paid a little under $40 (including shipping). I ordered it on Saturday and they already shipped it out. I paid for the 5-8 day shipping since my wedding is 11 days away.

I went to Lotus Bridal House in BKLYN on Saturday they had one I really liked that was $300 (it had rhinestones around the edges and was 2 tiered fingertip... And they had another one that was also fingertip and pretty simple if u ask me and that was $135 (would of got 20% off bc they only had the display one). I couldn't justify spending that much. I didn't feel there were worth that much. Though the one for $300 I really liked.

ETA: The actual price of the veil was $25.

I bought mine on Amazon, $26. I just couldn't justify spending a ton of money when I'm only going to wear it for the ceremony. I'm very happy with it!

The boutique I bought my dress had a sale where if you ordered your dress, you could get a $200 veil for free. I had found one that I loved when I found my dress, but it had been discontinued so they let me get a $300 veil for free!
