What music are you planning to use at your ceremony?

nikki , on July 16, 2011 at 10:06 AM Posted in Planning 0 7

I looked on Wedding Wire's page for ideas & once I saw 50 cent's in the club, I clicked off. I am having trouble deciding what music I want to use for my bridesmaids & music for my own walk down the aisle. I guess I don't want to use the Bridal March but don't want to use something completely non-traditional either. Suggestions?

Those of you who are having music like Train - are you using a cd player? We just have the church organist/pianist!

Also who would be in charge of playing the music on the CD player or ipod??

We used Handel's Air, from Water Music for the attendants and his Music for the Royal Fireworks for the brides. You can see all our ceremony music--with videos so you can hear what each piece sounds like--at this link. It is all classical, but does not include the Bridal March.

Have you seen Hi-Fi Weddings? They're awesome when it comes to music ideas...

Also, have you heard of Sigur Ros? They're one of my favorite bands and they have a few songs that are really beautiful, and could work well as an alternative to a processional song.

    Hope that helps!
