My MUA however is amazing and so worth it. She did a free color match with me today and gave me a free skin treatment while she was at it with a scrub and red light therapy!

Bridesmaids gifts!! My ladies have been so wonderful and helpful, I ended up going double my budget! Oh well, they deserve it!

Everything and nothing?? We spent a whole lotta money on everything, but I didn't go full upgrades no-holds-barred on anything either. Everything was some sort of compromise!

The only thing I felt like we really went all out on was randomly our favors! We knew we wanted custom koozies and DH really wanted the Pinehurst logo on the koozies. Pinehurst was more than happy to facilitate this at a charge of $3 per koozie... Way more money than we were planning on spending on favors, but hey I think they looked awesome

Photography FTW and I recently decided to just go for the videographer. But that was after other items came under budget.

Everything is a "splurge" but we've budgeted for it. My dress was more than I wanted to spend initially and FH told me we would move some costs around to get it, but then my sister and one of my close cousins called the salon and both contributed to pay about half the cost of my dress. (Seriously I was in tears when the salon told me when I called to make my first payment). I have honestly never felt better in a piece of clothing ever and they both knew that. We spent a lot of money on our venue as well, we wanted something all inclusive that would host our guests well and I know that it's worth the money to give them all a great time with great food and open bar. We even upgraded our bar package so that FMIL would be able to have her favorite drink

We decided on a band vs DJ

I splurged on my hair and makeup. I've never really gotten my makeup professionally done before. I wasn't about that life when my prom was around.

So I picked the best lady around and I'm so excited to get it done by her!!!

Photography for us! We found an amazing photographer here in LA, and we're flying her out for our destination wedding. Definitely feel like it'll be worth the extra $!

We splurged on the photographer- it was important to me since we don't have a lot of photos together (we are much more "enjoy the moment" people than "capture the moment" people). I was about to splurge on my dress because I was IN LOVE with it, but my parents graciously picked-up the tab on that. I felt like we splurged on the wedding bands, but my FH told me we really didn't (I guess I had way low & skewed opinions of what they should cost!)

I feel like the whole wedding is a splurge. Our biggest investment as I prefer to call it is our photographer.

I mean, the whole wedding is really a splurge...

But I REALLY splurged on my venue and my dress. Both are beautiful and I know it'll be a beautiful day, but now we're pushing back our honeymoon and may not be able to squeeze in fun stuff, like a photobooth, because of it.
