What did you "splurge" on?

Inquiring minds are curious and want to know. I haven't really splurged yet, but it will likely be on invitations because I absolutely love the look of laser-cut invites. FH wanted it to be my dress because he's cute that way, and wanted me to wear something gorgeous even if it was expensive, but I found a super good deal (and still feel gorgeous in it!). How about you?

@FutureMrsE you'd better get ready for some crashers, because I think there are quite a few of us coming to your wedding for those donuts lol

Damn near everything was a splurge. But I guess it would be the HM to Antigua. We spent over $7k between the hotel (private plunge pool room cottage), airfare, and all the excursions (helicopter tour of the island, catamaran to Barbuda, dinner on the beach, jet skiing, etc.)

We splurged on our invitations and our food for sure! So worth it though!

Guest hosting; food, drink, and more food, and a 12-piece band.

My dress was definitely a splurge that I didn't expect. We're also splurging a little more on the food

This is tough! I splurged on my dress/accessories, photographer/DJ, and probably the venue itself.

I splurged on my dress :/ Sorry not sorry. I originally wanted to spend less than $1000 with alterations but ended up spending $1300 on the dress and that's with out alterations. We also splurged on our venue a little but it will be well worth it.

Oh donuts...I miss tasty junk food, trying to lose weight is hard.

I spurlged on my dress, $1300 and that's not with alterations-which I will need because I am losing some weight!

My dress was a splurge as well as the cake. If I couldn't have my cake from my favorite bakery, I wasn't going to have cake.

Our splurges for our destination, Hawaiian wedding will be on some pre-wedding fun/activities for our guests, and our photographer. But my favorite small/unnecessary splurge was on our cake topper. We didn't want a topper for the wedding we initially planned, but decided to get one now to give our wedding dinner, which is at a restaurant, more of a wedding feel, but with a twist of fun! So in love with these little beauties

I didn't think of it as a splurge at the time, but probably my $300 cathedral length veil. I felt like a true bride in it! I just fell in love, so did my mom, and she didn't blink twice at writing the check for it (when I know now that $300 is a LOT to spend on a piece of tulle!)

We splurged on our venue. It is $1000 per 90 minutes to rent, but we just loved it.

We also splurged on our food. We have 6 different entree options: three different cuts of steak, seabass, rack of lamb.... and chicken.

ETA: None of our guests are vegetarians

I don't feel like we splurged on any one thing. We tried to be reasonable but still get good quality with everything for the wedding. I definitely felt like we were splurging on the HM, though. We spent so much money on food and drinks, and we bought some art from local galleries. There were definitely unnecessary things we bought for the wedding like flower petals for the aisle, but I can't think of one big splurge.

The frugal side of me says we've splurged on everything, but my SO says we are right on budget. Honestly, decor/floral is probably going to be our biggest splurge.

The band is our splurge. In fact I'm reworking just about everything we have left to keep costs down because of it. FH is a musician himself, and it was really important to him to have a live band. We found one that we really liked in a price range that was somewhat more reasonable then the others we looked at.

Hair and Makeup for the bridal party. It's a serious expense, but I am so looking forward to spending the morning with them and just the whole experience more than anything.

Probably the florist! I am very tight with my wedding budget, so when I got the quote back I cut several things out to be closer to my ideal cost. Even now, the final assessment for the florist is higher than I would have liked, but I know the venue will be gorgeous with all the added decor and so will the bouquets.
