Spinoff: Who Was on WW around this time last year?

I think it's a combination of holiday stress and the fact that there's a lull in people being ZOMG SO EXCITED IT'S TIME FOR MY BIG DAY that causes a collective sigh of happiness as we see another bride off.

I was not here. And if my theory is correct, things get meaner around this time, that combined with the fact that I'm hitting the high stress period of planning is not going to go well.

I was! It got pretty bad, lol. It died down again when spring started up and everyone started getting married or close to their wedding.

I wasn't here either...I didn't show up until April or so, maybe a bit sooner. But I think you're right on Janeen...and if this year is anything like what I've heard about last year, we are going to see alot more threads with reactions like the Grannie thread and O&S recap of the blocked bachelor party thread...

The "happiest" I've seen this place was around August and September. But I wasn't entirely paying attention a whole lot before. I know that I, personally, am on a hair trigger the past two days to the point where I had to double check the calendar to see if it had been 28 days lol.

I was here. It wasn't pretty, but it was damn entertaining.

I was around in the spring and it wasn't snarky at all. From what I remember people were pretty supportive around that time.

I've been on here for what seems like forever. The snarkiness has its highs and lows. I think it largely has to do with the posters--snark begets snark, ya know? People will see others posting things and feel encouraged to post their own snarky comments. Plus there are fewer people asking legitimate questions about things like dresses and flowers, and more people asking off the wall questions about, apparently, planning their fiance's bachelor party (bummed I missed that one!) It's easier to snark about something like that than it is about someone posting pictures of their centerpieces.

Like SunshineJenn said, it can get super entertaining!

I joined in May but I've heard horror stories from the winter months. Some are humorous while others were a bit mean. My guess it's just a combination of shitty weather, stress from the holidays and the fact that wedding season (for most people) is winding down.

Me! I was here this time last year. Totally agree now that there aren't 10 weddings every weekend people don't have as many wedding questions so things are getting boring. Hence the snarky comments and people trying to start drama.

I was here and people were not very nice around this time last year. So I left for a few months and came back, and it was better.

I started about 6 months ago and fortunately missed much of the "cycle" on here. But I have noticed a lot more bitchiness the past few weeks (perhaps from boredom?).

Oh man, the "Guys... talk to me" (or whatever) was literally the first thread I ever read in the forums haha. And all I really remember about Amy A. was thinking that she had the prettiest thumbnail picture ever... random?

Just before the so called "drama" of the end of last year went down I went MIA and during that time they were enforcing some stricter rules on the WW forums and a few were not so happy about it and in my opinion put a damper on the fun and awesomeness of WW. So obviously it may have contributed to the hostility.

It was heavily moderated back then, and lots of people were flag-happy about the dumbest things. Don't agree with my post? Flag! Simply don't like me? Flag!!
