PSA: if you want to vent don't do it on the Internet

I just had the worst day. A while back I vented about a vendor on here and to be honest I didn't think I was doing anything wrong. I was expressing how I felt about my experience and I wanted others to convince me that I was wrong. Well today I was confronted by that vendor and I was in tears. I'm...

I just had the worst day. A while back I vented about a vendor on here and to be honest I didn't think I was doing anything wrong. I was expressing how I felt about my experience and I wanted others to convince me that I was wrong. Well today I was confronted by that vendor and I was in tears. I'm sure MOST of you know that whatever you put on the Internet can be found but for those of you who don't, just be carful. I should have hid my discussion and maybe this wouldn't have happened. So Even if you think you aren't saying anything bad and just venting people will see it.

Where do they get the idea that you owe them anything? if you weren't happy with certain things they did, then they should learn to improve and do a better job of pleasing their customers- as for them loosing gigs, sounds like they are looking for someone to blame -

I agree I think the whole thing was very unprofessional. I'm just so taken back by it all. I wish I was completely done with it but I still have business to do with them.

@KWtoBe Yes I walked in and the first thing they say is oh is this the bride that bashed me online. And I immediately got defensive and said what? I am just here to pick up my stuff, you never remember me. He then says I knew it couldn't be you and shows me the print out. I said umm actually that is me but I wasn't bashing you. I was venting. He made me feel like I made him lose a ton of work because of what I said. At this point I feel like just washing my hands clean of them and being done.

Leave a review. Looks like they already have a bad one. Absolutely mention that although their work is great, you expressed disappointment about them anonymously and received backlash in an unprofessional manner. They should not deal with clients and customers like that, NO MATTER what the client says.

Oh my God, they printed it out & then ambushed you when you came in?! That's evil. Sounds like they were picking on you, you're probably a sweet person and they knew it. They wouldn't have tried that with some of us on here.... I'd have been be like "YEAH that was ME! Want an autopgraphed copy?" Go write an official bad review if they were rude to you & the quality of their service was poor.

You didn't say anything truly negative about the company, so I don't understand what the big deal is. If the entire business is riding on 1 WW post, it must not be much of a business. From what I remember about it, you just didn't like 1 aspect. You never said anything like "Said company is horrible, and I absolutely hate the work they did. They suck." I hope your day gets better!

FYI I know that when I worked for a wedding planner for the past year she had me lurk on wedding forums to see what brides were talking about. I guarantee you a lot of vendors do this. There are probably quite a few lurking right now.

If they want to see what people say about them to try and improve, that's one thing. but the whole 'how could you do this to us' really irks me. as if they are doing you a favor or something. they need you worse than you need them I'm sure!

    Message to marco:

Your customer service is bad and you should feel bad. Next time don't ambush your clients calling them names, as I can see this isn't your first time being awful according to other reviews.

    That's how you lose business.

They printed it out and confronted you with it? I can't believe that. Anyone who has been in any sort of industry where you deal with customers/clients that the customer is always right. Even when they are not, you are to treat them as such. I am so sorry that someone you PAID for services treated you like that, their behavior was unacceptable. If I were you I would have let them know that before I was venting/annoyed/disappointed, and had every right to express my opinion on any format. But now I am not only upset with their services, but offended by their unprofessionalism and they will be getting an honest and detailed review with this fiasco being mentioned to caution other brides that this vendor will throw a tantrum like a child if you criticize them what so ever.

(OP, not saying or implying that you are like this at all) But for any vendors out there, there will always be someone who is unhappy with your service, no matter how good it is or how hard you try, some people are just never satisfied. Confronting a customer and giving them an actual reason to be upset with you is just asking for trouble.

They shouldn't have called you out. If you were unhappy, they should have reached out to see if they could fix it! You were an unhappy customer, so why wouldn't your share within this community? I posted a review on here for the wedding planner we FIRED. She was awful. Ooooh, let her PLEASE call me and ask about the review(s). I'm not shy to reiterate the garbage service we got.... ;-/

I do think if I was a vendor I would be upset that someone didnt share their concerns with me but instead went to the internet. I dont know what your post said. However the vendor behaved inappropriately regardless. A better response would have been to show concern and ask how to fix it. Yes you are a customer and have every right to vent, but realize that vendors that will see that and are more likely to cater to the customers who are bringing their concerns to them and giving them a chance to fix it before venting with the companies name. Again not saying the company was in the right at all, but just something for people to think about before posting names of companies that have no idea you arent happy.
