Wow, I didn't know both of you were Philly area brides.

Mrs.BtoBe, Radisson was on Cate's short list, however, she wanted something closer to Delaware County, where she is getting married.

Carole, we got my MOH's dress at the Cherry Hill AA as well Smiley smile

I was scared making an appointment there because they get HORRIBLE reviews. Our sales person definitely wasn't the best but we preferred the hands off approach anyway. I helped my MOH get dressed into most of her dresses and we could talk about what we liked without someone breathing down our necks. However I could definitely see not being happy with the service if searching for a bridal gown.

I'm lucky my seamstress is the shop owner where I bought my dress, and she said she'll do my fittings at her house which is about 20 mins closer to Philly in Wilmington Smiley smile I found my shoes ironically at Macy's. I'm limited b/c I can only have 3 in heels max b/c my dress needs no hemming and it would be too short

@Carole...yes I love the Radisson and they have been fantastic and now that is the casino I'm uber excited that everyone can come and have a great time!! I also really like Mendenhall!! Smiley smile I'm from West Chester, he's from Philly so the Radisson made sense as a half way point for the families

@MrsOhler, I called there first as I am an AA bride, but the woman was SO rude on the phone I cancelled my appointment when I found the dress at the other shop in DE

Mrs.Ohler...I was underwhelmed by AA in CH. I specifically didn't go to them for my dress because they had just opened. We went to Lancaster for my dress. We needed centrally located for everyone, so AA in CH made sense. I went w/ Cate, her two MOHs We didn't want too much hands on either. She knew what dress she wanted. Hell no to getting a bridal gown there. The thing that ticked me off the most, I discovered there is an AA in Exton, which may have been better.

MrsBtoBe...Have you been to the new casino yet? Your location makes sense as well. Cate needed hotel accomodations for a lot of guests. Many people are coming up from Florida. Heck, her ILs are in Florida. That's how we stumbled across the Mendenhall. We were looking for hotels. It is the same distance from our church to the Mendenhall and to the Radisson, so it works for us. She was also looking at the local mansions, but none were near hotel accomodations. She was also considering the Hotel Dupont.

When my MOH's dress came in, we planned for us to pick it up together when she came down to South Jersey for my shower. It was her job to "get me out of the house" while everything was being set up.

She called to let them know she'd be picking up her dress and they fought with her telling her that there were no appointments and that she couldn't come pick it up that day. That was after she called every day for a week and left multiple messages that never got returned.

She was like "I WILL be picking it up today." It was already paid in full. She didn't need to try it on. She just needed them to get it from the back and hand it to her.

When we did pick it up, they also had so much trouble finding it and figuring out what name it was under and UGH.

@Carole--we haven't gambled in the casino yet, but when we went for our tasting we got a tour. They have a class C license so they usually require a $10 purchase to play (which can be achieved by buying food) but every wedding guest gets complimentary access to the casino floor. It looks just like the casinos in AC (super nice-even has a smoking section like AC casinos) table play etc. Only crappy part is the the liquor stops at 2 b/c that's a PA thing

@MrsOhler makes me SO glad I didn't go there!!

I like knowing other Philly brides Smiley smile
