October Bride Check In

Great job!!! We got our invitations out! We are preparing for our shower this weekend! Tonight is my first appointment to have my dress looked at and price given for the alterations needed. I made my first pew bow and we have decided it is the one so I have a few more to make and would like that done this week. And FH picking up OT and I'm working on extra jobs to collect all the money to pay for it all!

I spent most of the weekend doing house stuff. Painting and cleaning.

I did try on my dress. Alterations are tomorrow. We are going to do more

wedding stuff next weekend. Getting excited! We are almost at the two month mark.

WooHoo!! We're getting so close!

I think I'm going to drop our invitations in the mail on Thursday. I was just going over the catering contract and forgot that it said we need to have the final head count 21 prior to the event! Sooo... in the mail they go on Thursday!

My second alterations appointment is on the 16th. Can't wait to see how the dress looks after our first initial appointment!

I am currently waiting for our paper flowers for our centerpieces to come (they should be here by the end of the day)... and our paper flower bouquets are getting ready to be shipped out! Once the centerpiece flowers arrive, I'll start attaching them to flower wire or sticks from a craft store.

I believe we are planning on purchasing alcohol the week of the wedding.

I am also still collecting white Christmas lights from friends for the wedding (to decorate outside for when it's dark).

That's about all I can think of at the moment of things we have left to do. Getting more excited!

GREATTTTTTT job-- this weekend i purchased my sister dress, also purchased the personalized forks, -- Pretty muich all i have to do is take dress for alterations, buy centerpieces which should be bought 20th of this month Invites will go out on 20th as welland pay off vendors!!! Praying no surprises pop up!!

Wow your doing great! Placed our invitations in the mail last week. 1st alterations appt next week. Need to decide on signature drinks and order Ice Luge asap. This month I plan on ordering our wedding bands and doing some DIY touches for the wedding. Prob wont order favors or do seating chart until Sept when I have all my RSVP's.

We are having a destination wedding. I finally have our Wedding account with the Travel agent paid. We are flying our photographer down so her room and flight is paid for and booked. The Ceremony location and DJ is paid for. I'm just waiting on the final contract from the Reception location so I can pay them off this week. Our invitations should be her by the 8th of this month. I plan on having them in the mail the next day. I am still looking for a florist. And our wedding day transportation. I also need to schedule my site visit, which I finally decided to fly there a month before the wedding.

I will be doing my first dress fitting today. My mother is making it so I shloud be ok.

I paid money towards my balances, did a mock set up of my candy buffet. Finished up the vases and centerpieces.

Wow you ladies are on it! I know we still need to get a cake topper, finish gifts, make welcome bags for hotel (when we get final count), mail invites, my shower is Sept. 8th and bachelorette party on the 22nd of Sept. Oh and the guys need to go get fitted for their tuxs other than that I think I am sitting pretty good.

First batch of invites are out. I've gotten 3 RSVPs so far. Deadline is less than a week, I'm sure I'll have to hunt everyone down!

I worked on organizing all the boxes of decorations

Had a meeting with the event organizer at the reception

Met with the hotel's recommended linen supplier and picked out colors

Paid the band more money, we only owe them $100

Started printing out things that are ready to go, menus, reception cards, table numbers

Still chugging away on favors/centerpieces...I have so few left that I really don't do them but here and there

Going to order FH's ring on Thurs when I get paid....and harass him to order mine as well....lol =P

Whoop! We had our shower, I sent out invites. I decided on my gifts for my girls I think. I have an alteration appointment coming up in a few weeks, I have a photographer walk through at the venue this friday since she has never been there before, and I have a hair trial and make up trial at the end of the month. hmmm and Im sure some other stuff!

Our time is near! So excited that two months today I will marry my FH! This Sat. I had my Bridal Shower, Sunday I started on my thank you's. I also got all my invites sent out last week. We meet with the priest tomorrow and I have the sample program to show him and finalize so I can start to print and decorate them. I also want to try and start to wrap the bridal party gifts.

We were told that our pastor would get ahold of us in August to start our classes. I emailed him last week since I work 1st shift and FH works 2nd shift it is going to be hard for us to find time together to go. The pastor still has not contacted me back about scheduling it! He sent us an email of a questionnaire we needed to do before we started classes and he said as soon as that was done we could schedule. Ughh time to call the church again!

Only 74 days to go and I still have a few things to do. I am slowly finishing up paying off vendors and other large expenses. All of our invitations are sent out and we have already received 10 Yes & 0 No.

The last few weekends I have been working hard on my DIY projects and debating if I should take on a few more.

I am so ready for this day to be here but so thankful its still a little over 2 months away.

This experience has been the definition of ups and downs, and I really just want to have an amazing wedding and spend the rest of my life with the man that I love.

I am hoping to have everything completed and paid for by the beginning of October. Wish me luck.

WOW I feel so far behind!

I still haven't sent out our invites... actually I still haven’t even printed them out! I bought a BRIDES kit @ Michaels and I'm still trying to finalize the wording with FH (we are having Spanish and English invites) its taking some time. I JUST bought my wedding shoes, so now I can go get my alterations done, but I still have so much more to do! Here are a few things..

Still have LOTS to do! Things done (this list is easier than the to do list) my dress, shoes, veil, the bm's dresses, Men's ties ordered, venues booked, photographer/dj booked....

Oh man!! I am feeling stressed.

Our shower was yesterday and I got nothing wedding related done!

In fact I may be adding a million things to do to my list. I applied for a new job and we may move in the next month. I have been with my current employer for many years so it's a big move.

I need to buckle down. I have my first fitting on Saturday and surprise (wink wink) photo shoot on Friday.

OMG you ladies are scaring me with already mailing out your invites-- now im rethinkging if i shouldnt wait until 20th and get them out this weekend.....

Im a little over my head guest count keeps rising and money keeps getting smaller in my bank account lol. I finally have an officiant bought flowers for my centerpieces mailed out my invites last week completeing the last of my diy next week. Feeling anxious because unlike most of you here I dont have my dress yet it should be here by September...
