NWR- Let's Chat About Eyeliner

Trisha, on October 7, 2015 at 5:08 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 27

I've been using Almay for years, but it's just not holding up all day anymore. I'm not so great with liquid liner, I don't have any alergies or sensitivities, so I'm not really restricted. I just want something that's fairly simple to apply (I'm no make up artist) and reasonable in price.

What do you use?

I use Almay...liquid liner Smiley winking Actually I recently started using gel and I like it a lot. That and liquid eyeliner do take a lot of practice but I love both!

I'm not so good at this either. I have a pencil eyeliner (not sure what brand) but it's the kind that you can twist in and out of the container...it's last me forever. I don't get fancy with wings or anything though, I basically just draw a line on my top lid :p

I'm currently using Younique's eyeliner. It's really good about staying on all day.

I use Maybelline unstoppable eye liner and prestige eye liner. Out of the two the prestige one lasts a little longer IMO.

I wish I could put on eyeliner... I totally suck at it. I'm actually not sure I even know the "proper" way to do it - is there even a proper way?

But I do have some -- it's the Aveda brand. And when I've had it put on (usually it's other people, sometimes I attempt it) - simple line to make my eyes pop.. it lasts pretty well - all day I think.

There is a new all day gel liner pencil being advertised right now. I think it is either rimmel or maybelline. If so, both brands are really affordable and probably at Target or Ulta. I love stila and Anastasia Beverly Hills.

Yes, that picture is me in the morning whenever I try to wing it, and then i just don't care if it's lopsided and put my hair down so it covers enough of the wing so people don't notice.

Anyways, I've been using Nars Larger Than Life Long-Wear, and it pretty much never smudges and really easy to put on (although I barely wing it with stick liners). The creamiest (that sounds weird) eyeliner I have is the ulta brand one, it's their gel liners. Seriously love it, I wear it daily.

When I wing I use liquid liners. I like the brush ones better than the felt tips, I got one in Japan and I worry about using it up. But I think Kat Von D has a brush one? I need to find out.

I use an eyeliner by Kat von D, I think it's called tattoo or something and I love it! It's soooo easy to use compared to liquid liner (that I don't even dare to touch). I wish i could explain what it's like...here's a link:

Here's how much I know about eyeliner- What is gel? Is that the kind you put on with a brush? Is it hard to apply?

I use a Maybelline gel liner with the angled brush. I LOVE how it stays on all day and the brush makes it so easy to apply. (I bought the brush separately)

Lol, there are a lot of liner options out there. Gel gives you a thicker coat of liner. It has more color (pigment). It isn't as hard to apply as liquid but, the same effect. I would recommend a pencil if you can do that.

I use a primer on my eyelids. It helps keep the liner in place. Stop by a Sephora or an ULTA and they will help you!!

The ulta gel liner is actual a pencil version. I have the one you draw on with a brush, but I'm not a fan. Here's the link to the one I have. So simple to smudge if you want to go for that, but stays if you need it to. I love lining my lower lash line with it because it's so much softer than the normal pencil.

Http://starlooks.com/collections/featured/products/luxe-longwear-eye-liner-pen - I got this in my Ipsy bag a couple months ago and I adore it. It is a really easy to use pen style eyeliner, and while I was previously pretty devoted to Mac's pen liner after I got this one I won't look back. I find it really easy to use. I also like gel or pencils sometimes, but this is great for a little more oomph and dramatic liner.

Gel liner out of a pot like the Maybelline one posted above is my favorite! But that one isn't intense enough for me, I prefer MAC's or Essence (suuuper cheap but highly pigmented!) I like to use it with a tiny angled brush that I actually got at Micheal's in the paint brush section. It's so tiny that a little mess up is not even noticeable.

I use Sephora's liquid eyeliner in black. It works wonderfully. A Sephora employee actually recommended it to me over all of the way more expensive brands in the store. It is $12 a bottle and lasts all day for me. Brush is smooth and easy to apply.

I think the actual pencil-type liners are too... pointy? They don't glide, they just sort of poke near my eyes. I prefer the twist up ones or the wide, crayon-looking ones. If I use liquid liner, it usually ends up floating around in my eyes, which is painful, because apparently I can't trace my eyes very well and I like having eyeliner on the top and bottom.

I'm in LOVE with Sephora brand waterproof eyeliner. It doesn't smudge and it is easy peasy to use. And it's only $13

I second the Kat Von D Tattoo liner! The one I get is an eyeliner marker, which is much easier to control than traditional liquid liner with a brush. I can wear that eyeliner all day and it will not budge!
