NWR... Amanda, Gina, and Michelle

Jessica, on May 6, 2014 at 4:16 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 13

I know that some don't know or didn't follow this story but today is the 1 year anniversary of when they were found. I care because these girls were taken seriously right in my neighborhood where I walked around while I was growing up. scary!! they were found 10 minutes from where they were taken, about 10-15 minutes from my house now. they are just incredible and I just wanted to see if anyone else followed this. I am buying michelles book today (hopefully). I am sorry, her name is now lilly, so I am buying lilly's book. and both Amanda and gina are in Washington today. that's all. its all such a very happy sad story. I watched every year when ginas parents had a gathering in hopes to find her. I know how I felt and I just live here. I cant imagine how the families felt. ok, done with my emotional post.

I followed this story - I will probably buy Michelle's book too. I felt for those girls when they were found. I saw Michelle on the Today show and she seems so well adjusted and happy - I hope she continues to thrive!

Ugh I remember exactly where I was when I got the CNN update that Ariel Castro had killed himself. What a pathetic and sad man.

I'm from Cleveland so I definitely remember seeing updates about Gina every year on the news. The whole thing is so crazy but I'm so glad that they seem to be moving on with their lives.

I'm from Cleveland too! I remember the stories and Gina's dad holding hope and rallies every single year after year. They say that Amanda's mom died of a broken heart (she literally had heart issues I understand) Wishing them a lifetime of healing and prayers for their futures.

I was obsessed with this story when it broke. i'm just really pissed that their abductor took his own life, he should have suffered. Pisses me off.

I've followed this story too. The entire situation is so sad and that monster is a coward. I'm glad they're reclaiming their lives and moving forward.

I agree he was a coward and should've suffered like them, but at the same time I'm glad our tax dollars aren't paying to house him. I just hope there was a special place for him in the afterlife.
