Ugh, you guys, I need help. I had my second dress fitting yesterday and I was SO depressed after. I'm still insanely sad today. The dress fits great up top, around my hips, the back looks amazing, shoot-I even found a strapless bra that stays up! I just can't get past my poochy stomach/love handles. I guess I just chose the wrong style dress for my body shape? It's a sheath style, and clings to everything. When I got it, I was super confident and figured I had plenty of time to try to tone up. I've been on a diet/strength training program created by the coach at my gym, and lost a BUNCH of inches, but my stomach just isn't changing along with the rest of my body. Deep down I feel like no one will care, no one will probably even notice, but I care, and it's doing a number on my self confidence. I don't want to be completely distracted on my wedding day because I'm worrying about this.
Then I figured Spanx will fix it! Well, I've tried probably 15 different styles of spanx type undergarments and they all either roll down at the waist, cause massive rolls on my back below my bra, or give me muffin top. The fabric on the dress is very unforgiving when it comes to panty lines of any sort. I think the problem is I'm incredibly short waisted, so the "high waist" undergarments come up way too high, the mid-waist hit just above where my waist bends so they roll down, and the regular waist ones cause muffin top.
I've only got 42 days left. My FH says "just buy a new dress". I can't imagine there's any time for that now. Even if I found one off the rack. Plus I can't get over wasting all that money on the original dress. It's been altered to fit my giant boobs and short height, so there's no way I can even try to re-sell it.
I don't know, I just can't stop being so negative about all of this. I was really hoping my attitude would turn around this morning, but I'm still so bummed. I guess I'm hoping I'm not the only one out there that has felt like this, or maybe you all might have suggestions on how to get past this. I feel like I should love my body no matter what, but psychologically that's a hard place for me to get to.
