Need a new venue

Alyssa, on June 26, 2012 at 5:54 PM Posted in Planning 0 9

I thought we had more money to spend on this wedding than we actually do. So now I need to find a venue that isn't $3000. Any ideas (ps I live in Colorado)

How many guests are you expecting to invite?

Depending on the guest count, restaurants can be a great inexpensive option.

$3000 for just the venue space not including meals, decor, etc? I hope so because $3000 won't go far at all for 170 guests.

    Where in colorado?

    What is your budget?

    How many people?

    What do you need included?

You could check community centers around and/or parks with covered areas. both of those tend to be moderately cheap.

I live in Greeley CO which is near Denver.

Right now our wedding is at $7000 but if without the venue its only $4000 which is more reasonable.

    We are inviting 170 guests.

The only thing I really would like included are tables and chairs. Everything else I have under control.

Heidi, I was thinking of doing it at the park where he proposed. The only problems are we would have to rent chairs and find a place for the reception.

There's a couple amphitheaters up in Boulder/Chataqua mountain area that could be good (you know...once it isn't burning). There's on on Flagstaff Mountain and another in the Chataqua Park.

You'd probably want to book something else though, given the fire situation. Sorry I can't be more helpful...just moved to the area.

Chair rentals aren't always very expensive. The ones I'm getting in Maine are $3/chair which includes the delivery costs, etc. There might be some inexpensive options, like borrowing chairs from an elk's club or something?

Hey Alyssa...PM me...I live in Colorado and know of many MANY venues. I can help you find your perfect venue at an incredibly reasonable price Smiley smile

Are you wanting to stay in Greeley for your wedding or are you okay with coming to Denver?
