    1) Wait for Carole, she's a WW global travel agent.

    2) Have you tried other places? Hotels.com? Groupon getaways? Hotwire?

I thought I heard someone talking about me. : )

DH and I are island travel junkies. I am a travel research junky.

First things first, are you still interested in Jamaiaca? That is one of the pricier all inclusive honeymoon destinations? Are you willing to go to Punta Cana or my fave, the Riviera Maya of Mexico? What airport are you departing from?

Last but not least, sign-up for newsletter from the following: Orbitz, Cheap Carribean, Book-It, Apple and FUn Jet vacations. You get alerts on sales, or last minute deals. It is too early for a last minute deal, but you could get an early booking bonus?

I prefer using a travel agent for special ocassions. If you can find one that will price match from the internet, that would be cool too. Actually, Cheap Carribean price matches.

GIve me some info on your priorities...beach, room, room service, etc, and departing airport and I will do some checking for you.

You would be traveling non-stop on Air Tran.

While this property is not 5 stars, I think it provides a lot of bang for your travel buck. It is a big resort.

You can check out reviews/pics/forum posts on www.tripadvisor.com

The final price on this with a shared transfer is about $1900. YOu can add trip insurance for another $139.

Another option - what about a tropical location where you don't need a passport?

That would reduce the overall cost of the trip, it's not cheap to apply for a passport let alone have it expedited.

US Virgin Islands maybe? I've never been there but I've heard they are beautiful.

Carole have you been to Spain? Want to plan our HM? Smiley smile

OOPs - reading comprehension fail. You already got your passports. Sorry!!!!!

Playa del Carmen is gorgeous. I've never been to Jamaica but I would second the vote for the Riviera Maya area of Mexico.

Kris S.... The only way I would go is via a Meditteranean Cruise. At my age, I am over the sight seeing. Vacations to me mean...park butt on beach with drink in hand.

Mrs. S....I love Mexico. It is American friendly and I love the food.

Amber....I just read a few reviews. I am not totally pleased with what theyhave to say about food. But, if you are not a foodie, I don't think it would be a problem.

    Also in that price range....

Barcelo Maya Palace - We have stayed twice and love it. However, there is no room service or Jacuzzi on the balcony. This is part of a mammoth resort. The beach is fabulous. The food was outstanding. We stopped going because we fell in love with Now Jade...Preferred Club rooms.

Ocean Coral and Turquesa.... While I have not been here, I know a few people who have. If you book a Priviledge room, it is supposedly awesome.

Let me know other places you would be interested in. Orbitz is easy to use.

Ditto. Usually, this time I am counting down our days. We have always vacationed the second week in May(shoulder season). Yes, we did Secrets Silver Sands for our 4 day mini-moon, but we both desperately need a week of butt on the beach with drink in hand. Oh well.....my daughter is getting married. : )

Indeed Amber it's beautiful and I think it's a great find.

We still didn't go on our HM, so I'm about to start looking. Carole, don't go anywhere just yet lol!

Cheapcarribean.com... you can find an all inclusive for a great deal. Jamaica & Cancun typically have affordable options.
