Kiddos getting bored??

Mrs. Clark aka Mrs Awesomepants, on May 11, 2011 at 3:22 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 12

So I will have about 6-7 kids at my wedding and although there will be a lot for them to look at, (fishies!) I dont want them to get bored and unruly at my wedding (and I want the parents to be able to relax) so I was thinking of ordering this for them to do. Makes 12 and doesnt require anything messy. Most of the kids are girls and even the 2 boys would make it for mom. What do you ladies think??

I had a kids coloring table that worked out fantastically! It had crayons and giant coloring pages. I would highly recommend something to keep them occupied otherwise they will start playing with the stuff on the tables like centerpieces or crawling under messing up the linens. I have seen it happen at other weddings.

I have a kids coloring brochure I'm printing up for them and then getting some crayons. I don't know how many kids to expect yet.

I thought of a coloring table but the kids are younger (6 to 2) and they would need to be watched so I thought something they can do at their seats would be better

I designed free ones on visaprint

You could do 2 free orders... make one more younger kids... one more for the older...

these are the free letter heads.

(I still have your email, so I sent you them)

If the children are aged 2 to 6, I would not suggest beads. Some of them (myself when I was their age) like to stick beads up their nose, ears and mouth. I like the coloring idea. You could also do puzzles or checkers/ connect 4.

You can also do a 'I spy' game on paper. ex: I spy something red in this room.

@pink, the "beads" are actually normal sized shells (called the company and asked for that very reason) so they should be ok

Oh, I like the I spy one too... THAT would be the ONLY reason I buy disposable cameras... for the kids!!!

template for I Spy on here.

I have the images saved and can send them to you... those are the free letter heads.

You could do 2 free sets, one for older kids, one for younger.

Do they dance at all? I was thinking the kids at my wedding were going to be bored but they were tearing the dance floor up! I think the only time they sat was to eat and there were like 15 kids so they had dance partners and stuff. It was really cute and got the adults dancing, too.
