I think I found my dress!? But I can not decide which one. HELP!!!

Okay, I'm concerned about a lot here.

In terms of the dress, the second one. If you're broad-shouldered, have a seamstress add a halter neck. It balances out shoulders and bigger arms.

More importantly, I can't really tell you if getting married and/or having the baby is the best thing for you or not. In my neighborhood in DC, a lot of girls your age are moms. I see 15 year olds pushing double strollers. Sometimes it works out, a lot of times it does not. I think the key isn't marriage, it's education. Whatever happens, finish school. Go to college. Develop a career. It's vital...otherwise your baby won't have a chance.

You are right Analy in Ohio 16 (with parental consent) is the legal minimum. But with a court order under certain circumstances younger people are allowed to get legally married. Because of the pregnancy my mother is pretty sure we can get the court order soon. I will be 14 in 2 months. I feel pretty confident that we will get it. She said if we do not get the order we can still have a commitment ceremony. Which would be the same thing except in the law we wont be married. I am really doing my best to become more mature and grow up because I have to.

I applaud your maturity, but why not have a child out of wedlock? You had sex and are pregnant out of wedlock already. Do what is best for you and your child. Being pregnant, especially at a young age, isn't a reason to get married. Stay together if you'd like but I honestly don't believe you can legalize it.

IF you are truly 13, and facing all of this, I feel really sad for you. You have a long road to haul.

Cullin, if your info is true, I do not envy you. I send my best wishes. If it is true, YOU have to do all that you can to make life the best.

Out of curiousity, how old was your super excited mother when she had you?

I got pregnant with my son when I was 17. I was horrified and excited at the same time. My mom and I were driving down the road and saw a really young girl pushing a stroller along the side of the highway and my mom says "And there by the grace of God goes you" to me. At that moment I swore that I would NEVER be a statistic. Keep this in your mind, prove everyone wrong, pray to God every single day and all will work out for the best. If it wasn't for my stubbornness to make my mom eat her words, I wouldn't be the person I am proud to be today. That may not be your motivation but find your own fire inside that will drive you to success. I am pro-life so I applaud you, adoption is always an option, but it wasn't for me either. Its not all fun and games, it will be hard, but my kids are comedians and I couldn't live in a world where they didn't exist.

15 - 16 is the norm for teen pregnancys here was what I was trying to say. That is why I feel my situation (of being pregnant) is very common. But people in and around here (Tiltonsville, Rayland, and Wheeling) do marry pretty early.

If you ever need to vent, cry, be honest without hearing your families opinion about it or anyone else for that sake or be excited about hearing the heartbeat or the first ultrasound you are more than welcome to message me. I know you have plenty of people telling you what you are supposed to do, but that ship has sailed and time to move on to this new route in your life. There is no rewind button and I wish I had had someone to bounce ideas, feelings and fears off of.

Sweetie, I actually like the 2nd dress I also want to wish you luck as well its not easy being a teen parent at all especially at 13, 14,15, or 16 you are still in middle school and have your whole life ahead of you. If you feel you are doing the right thing and your parents are supporting you in this decision thats great, but I would have to agree with Stacy I would have considered adoption your still a baby yourself. Please dont consider this criticism just advice Ive been there and no whats its like and it was hard even with a parents help, but I got through it I wasnt as young as you but I finished high school, got 2 undergraduate degrees and atttending law school this fall. So with alot of determination and motivation and the support of your family you can get through this and have a great future even with a baby. Although it is not the norm, it looks like a couple of brides here do have inspiring outcomes for a not so ideal situation. You are going to have to grow up quick and get super tough. Things will be hard for you, even though you have family support right now. But as long as you are a fighter, refuse to be the majority of the teen mother statistics, and continue your education no matter what... you can be a success story too. Just stay strong for you. and your baby.

Analy I live in Ohio and as long as the girl is pregnant the state will give consent to marriage. As long as they can prove that the girl is actually pregnant!!

Thanks for all of the support guys! Honestly I am not really worried all that much. My mom has never paid so much attention to me in my life and I feel really supported by her. She had my brother when she was 15 so she understands where I am coming from. I am due in October but she seems really excited to have a grand baby. But she will pretty much be the main one raising my baby because I need to start Highschool in the fall. I think I will be ok.

You will just stay focused on school and your future goals, sweetie you can do whatever you want even with a kid and dont let anyone tell you anything differently. Keep your head up!!

Cullin Holly, I was a teenage mom... I had my son (who is now 8) when I was 16 years old (I was pregnant at 15) and it is NOT an easy battle ahead because it is a lot harder when you are going through HS and trying to raise a child. If you chose to do this and you feel that it is right, really, you are the only one who will have to deal with the issue in the end so do what makes you happy. If you need advice, I will hear you out too like Jamie.

Oh and I would go for number two because it will be more comfortable...
