I think I found my dress!? But I can not decide which one. HELP!!!

Cullin Girl Holly, on April 1, 2011 at 6:17 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 40

I have been shopping arround for a dress that fits my budget (which is not verry much). I want one of these two but I can not decide. They are both $64.99 Marked down from $130 at JCpenny.com of all places. I like both of these dresses. but honestly I am a bit unhappy with my body is it is a difficult choice to make. I do not know which one would be more flattering. I love the strapless one. But my arms are pretty big. The other one is pretty as well and might look better on my body. I don't know HELP!?!

Totally depends on your body type. Can you go in a store and try them on or are they an online sorta deal?

if you are little fuller figured, I think the 1st one will look nice as the 2nd one would flatter someone who has smallish bewbs.

It also depends if you have hips....the way that fabric is laying....it might accentuate larger hips.

Man...I dont know.....ording online a dress you have never tried is such a gamble.

What you could do isgo into a bridal store and try on dresses that look VERY similar to the ones aboe and see if that particular cut flatters your body.

    Good luck!

PS: if the dress doesnt work...can you return it?

I love the second one to but like Jennifer said it depends on where you carry your weight... The top of the dress looks kind of short, I have a large chest and it doesn't look as if that dress gives much room to house the girls.. I'd check to see if it give the measurements - its like putting on one of those bandeau (or as I call them bandaid) bathing suit tops they just don't have enough material to cover ..

@ Victoria - My bust is not very big. I am about a B. I have a large frame but I am not fat thow. I am kind of average looking but my arms are pretty large so I usually wear sleeves. But this is my wedding and I want to look like a Bride!

I like the second one better too, but it depends on where you are worried about the weight. I would agree with the above recommendation to try on similar dresses if you aren't able to try these on.

If you love #2 and your only concern is your arms maybe you could try it with a shawl or shrug... I think they both look bridal but you seem to be leaning towards the second one.. There are some similar to that one at DB maybe you should go try it on and see if you love it on as much... and even thou its not time for Davids $99 dress sale I saw a few that were still on sale when I was there...

I vote for the 2nd dress!

...Just an idea, but if you know of a good priced alterationist, they could maybe be able to put sleeves, you could do like an off the shoulder sleeve.

#2 ! I love the sweetheart neckline and IMO it looks more bridal than the other, although they are both beautiful! You really can't go wrong with either.

#2 looks more like a wedding gown. The pleats are so pretty and the neckline is alot better.

If you can, I would say buy them both and then return the one you like least

Well I hate to break it to you guys but I am 13. I am also having my fiances child. I do not want a child out of wedlock and I do not believe in abortion. I could always lie on my profile about my age but I should not have to feel ashamed about my self that I have to lie. We have the full support of our families and and he has been living with me and my family for several months now. I am happy with my decision.

Good luck with everything, I can't even imagine what you are going through but really you are my niece's age and I can't imagine her having sex, a baby, let alone getting married.

You say you do not believe in abortion but looking back if I were you and pregnant at 13 I would have put that baby up for adoption, there would have been no way I could have provided for it and I would not have put that responsibility on my parents, that would just be WRONG!

@ Stacy - I will be 14 when we tie the not. I have honestly not considered adoption at all. Mostly because my mother is really excited and wants to take care of the baby till Isaac and I have at least finished HS. It is something I do not like to think about much but it is a reality in the world we live in. I am not the only one. I live in a very small town but my situation seems to be pretty common but the average age would be more like 15 or 16.

    Holy moly.

*raises hand* even with parental consent, I'm pretty sure the legal age to be married in Ohio is greater than 13. That said, you're a child, you both are. Marriage is a lifelong commitment. Why not wait until you're old enough to make that decision rationally? You're already living together and pregnant. Whether the child is actually born or not isn't the issue.
