I REALLY need your opinions on my centerpieces!

I like the first one with the daisy in the bowl. Does your venue allow open flames? Ours wont allow candles unless they are floating candles in water.

The top one (floating candle) I think it looks more "expensive" and the flower in the bottom picture may wilt throughout the reception

The flower is actually fake and won't wilt.... I just don't know how I feel about the first one because of how it looks from a side view... which is how everyone seated at the table would be viewing it. Here's the side view:

Yea the side view definitely isn't as flattering. The second one. It still has the flowers that you want but the candle looks better from the side view.

See, that's my thing too. I like #1, but I just don't like how it looks from the side. And that's primarily how it will be viewed. I think #2 gives you a better view of the flowers.

Why don't you add clear rocks to the bottom? It will help give it a more pleasant appearance from the side.

@Angie, as long as the glass goes above the candle flame it is not considered an "open flame" because the flame is protected.

I like the idea. Have you consider real flowers? I will look nice and it shouldn't be that expensive it's only one flower. Just a thought.

@Jlacy, that's a good point, and most places are probably ok with that, my venue specifically said the candle must be in water. It doesn't make a difference to me anyways since I'm not using candles.

I really like the idea of the second one with fake flowers surrounding it, that would be very elegant and pretty.

How about putting a few ribbons around the side where your flower will sit? Or that "happy tape" I recently posted about?

I like either. But if had to choose I would pick sunken flower.

I LOVE sharons idea! lemons would so be cheap and easy to add in there!!

The funny thing is that either one will cost me the same amount of money... real or fake. If I do one real flower floating in the water, it'll be $2.50 a centerpiece (plus cost of candles). If I do three Gerbers surrounding the bowl with a floating candle inside, it'll be $2.50 for the 3 Gerbers. The only perk to fake is that I can set them up the night before the wedding & know that they'll be fine.

I found a nest website that had lemons/flowers in the centerpices. They are much better than what I pictured..
