Finally My BAM!!! (3 months later!)

Ok this site hates me today. Won't let me post pictures.

So for those who don't recognize me, my wedding was in my backyard which definitely doesn't make things easier. I was trying to have a rather inexpensive wedding and I think we did pretty well. We served Famous Dave's BBQ for food and it was so worth it!! Full service only cost us about $14 pp and it’s the most common compliment we got for the wedding. The food was amazing! I would totally use their catering service again in the future. Unfortunately, my photographer didn't get any pictures of the Famous Dave's truck that was parked in my lawn.

My DOC fell through so I was up at 6 am putting out all of the final decor and running around like a chicken with its head cut off up until the moment we left for pictures. We didn’t have the photographer for getting ready picture because photographers are expensive, and it’s probably best that we didn’t because we were all rushing around getting last minute stuff done. We met the photographer at the park to get our portraits done. I wish I would’ve made a list of things I wanted. I decided to let the photographer tell us what to do and he didn’t give us too much of a lead for anything fun. Here are some portraits.

The ceremony was amazing. It was nice and short with DH’s cousin as our officiant. I didn’t want to rearrange chairs for the ceremony and reception, so I had everyone sit at their tables for the ceremony and we got married on the dance floor. I wish my photographer would’ve taken a zoomed out picture of the big tent in my yard but he didn’t.

After the ceremony, we went in to bustle my dress and allow guests to get drinks, but we didn’t have a cocktail hour. We were introduce to the superman theme song, did our dances, and then ate our yummy food!

The cake was soooooo good. I had no idea what it was going to look like. My coworker was making it for me and I gave him the freedom to do whatever he wanted. It was a lemon cake with a raspberry chocolate mousse in the center and a vanilla icing that I actually liked! (I normally hate icing)

Our DJ was amazing!! If it wasn’t for him, we wouldn’t have been on schedule all night. He told me when it was time for the cake cutting and other things. He was awesome! We played all Motown/Oldies music because DH hates most of today’s popular music and everyone loves Motown/Oldies!
