fall / maple favor help!!!

goodgirl101, on October 8, 2012 at 10:57 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 4

We have our fall wedding hearts set on either maple sugar candies or maple cookies but need a fall wrap idea for them. definitely need to keep the cost down.

*colors are eggplant purple, ivory/white, and charcoal grey (though there isn't much grey in the wedding to be honest).

* textures elsewhere in wedding: lace, burlap.

*would like to personalize somehow...name on a ribbon?

*decor features rustic items: galvanized lanterns, lots of branches, slabs of wood and fabric flowers

*the less i have to MAKE the better Smiley smile on a time crunch now

*budget

*been trying to find a maple leaf shaped box to put them in but can't!

*wedding theme: RUSTIC ELEGANCE (rather than down-home)

would love your fall favor decorating ideas!!! thanks!!!

ideas so far will follow in subsequent post Smiley smile

    Ideas so far:

*acrylic boxes, personalized but too informal: http://myweddingreceptionideas.com/personalized_leaf_shaped_acrylic_candy_boxes.asp

*seals could be interesting if i can find them in silver http://www.daisy-days.com/gold-maple-leaf-seals.html?utm_source=thefind&utm_medium=cse

*regular box with personalized ribbon with our names (not sure where to source this cheaply), leaf tag (how would you get them to print on computer in that shape?)

What about using regular favor boxes ( available at craft stores in white, or in more colors online). Use cardstock to make tags, and use a rubber stamp to stamp a leaf outline on each tag. You could write "thanks" inside the leaf. And perhaps use thin lace to tie the tags on the boxes?
