DO NOT PLAY-LIST

Chris, on July 21, 2018 at 5:05 PM

We all have songs that we want to dance to during the reception, but are there any tunes you cannot, will not stand being played on your special day? Maybe you’ve heard it played at every single wedding you’ve ever been to, maybe it’s overplayed on the radio and has lost all meaning to you-...

YES to the no R Kelly!! I know that some of my friends might be annoyed, but I cannot listen to him without extreme rage so it's going to be totally out of the question

We will let our DJ know not to play anything sad (although im sure they already know this) and nothing to erm "dirty" or at least until told the grandparents are gone lol but there is one specific song FH are debating weather to put on a do not play list or to insure it is played to change our own personal memory associations.

    Aerosmith - I Don't Want to Miss a Thing

This was FH's song with his ex and I have a sad memory with it as well but we both love the song.

I'm adamantly against "Happy" and "Don't Stop Believing" and FH is against anything with Bruno Mars. Other than that, I don't think we really have anything to ban, but we do have a song request line on our RSVP cards!

You know, I wouldn't have even thought to request no sad songs- it seems like a no brainer to me! Smiley heart

Yes, I had a few people tell me they’re going to request him anyway lol smh annoying. I’m putting this priority on the list however. I will walk up to the dj & ask he fade it out to another song w/ no shame!

There will be ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY NO Beyonce, Kanye, Eminem, Arianna Grande or any of that other modern garbage played. NONE. I'm not opposed to rap if it's GOOD and vintage like say Run DMC. For us it's going to be mostly 80's music with bits of country thrown in.
