DO NOT PLAY-LIST

Chris, on July 21, 2018 at 5:05 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 49

We all have songs that we want to dance to during the reception, but are there any tunes you cannot, will not stand being played on your special day? Smiley ring

Maybe you’ve heard it played at every single wedding you’ve ever been to, maybe it’s overplayed on the radio and has lost all meaning to you- whatever it is, we want to know the what and the why!

I’m actually pretty much a fan of any music except for heavy metal lol ..andddd I don’t want any RKelly being played either, but that’s for personal reasons. I would say the chicken dance but no one plays that at any of the weddings I go to anyway.

I would say anything country or gospel. Other than that we are totally laid back and are open to many other genres.

Taking notes...how do you make the max number of guests happy? Or do you just play what you like and not worry about it?

We definitely said no to the cha cha slide, the electric slide, and a few other songs that reminded us of our ex’s.

I have this list ready to go haha. No country, or any songs by Lil Jon, LMFAO, AC/DC, or Bon Jovi!

I’ve seen people put a line on their details list for song requests. & I’ve seen a request button on websites also!

For our wedding, the dj has a direct link that ppl can send song requests to.

Right there with you with Taylor Swift. If I never had to hear another one of her songs it wouldn’t be soon enough!

Absolutely no country what so ever!!!!!!
    And no cupid shuffle 😂
I can't stand country music. Plus we're doing a Great Gatsby themed wedding, so that wouldn't go well at all

What did the white witch do to you?! lol.

I leave all the music up to FH. But I prob don’t want anything by Guns and Roses. I hate Axel Rose. Or Def Leopard, reminds me of my ex and ewww. And neither of us like most popular rap music. Except Cardi B because she’s obviously amazing.

ZERO Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Adele or Bob Jovi! Additionally, absolutely no “Chicken Dance”, “Cha Cha Slide” or “Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy”, lol
