BR: Updates from everyone!

JulyBride, on October 12, 2010 at 11:14 AM Posted in Planning 0 28

It's been at least two weeks since we have had one of these, come on with the updates, pictures, all that good stuff!! I am 11 weeks today, here are two pictures I took yesterday. I was just starting to get some energy back but then I ruptured an ear drum, so I am back to spending all day on the couch not wanting to do anything, but I should be feeling better soon.

Anyways, bring the updates on!!

This was the day after I found out we're having a girl, so I wore pink and wanted to find the pinkest car I could find at the car show. I'll be 5 months on Friday!!!

@July, sorry about your ear. I had an ear infection about 2 years ago that had me in the ER. I can't believe it never ruptured but it was the most pain I have ever been in, I really think worse than child birth. I ended up having to get a tube put in my ear. So I feel for ya!

You look so cute Potters! I love how we are so close in timing. I'm 20 weeks as of yesterday. How much movement are you feeling? This little girl doesn't stop until Daddy tries to feel her, then she gets all calm...

    Potters, you are tiny!

I'm going to Babies R Us for all the nursery bedding this Saturday! I'm so excited about that. Last week I bought a few things, the first stuff I have gotten for the baby. I've also started cleaning the room out, it was FULL, and I mean FULL of stuff that I have piled in there over the past two and a half years. Luckily I don't have to paint, I did a gender neutral cream when we moved in.

Unique I'm sorry! I totally missed that thread! Thanks for thinking of me Smiley smile

We had our big u/s on Saturday where they confirmed GIRL! And they also told me that the placenta is no where near my cervix. Either it moved in just over a week or the tech at the hospital was not very good Smiley smile

All is good....YAY for no pelvic rest on the wedding night!!!!

Aw loving everyone's updates! I am 31 weeks and I don't want to scare all of you with my horror stories about how rough it's gotten so I'll just say I'm happy to report everything is healthy and my little man is growing strong! We were supposed to get the 3D face shots yesterday but this stubborn bugger turned his face to my back the entire time, we'll be trying again in 2 weeks. I won't be taking another "official" belly shot until next week so here is a recent one

@ Laura- Can you pm me with how it really is? I want to know, to be prepared. I'm more scared about not knowing what to expect than anything, and the books don't always give it to you straight.

@Jessica, I've only felt her twice. On Wednesday I felt a few little pops, then Saturday it felt more like I was being flicked from the inside. But I haven't noticed anything that I could tell was for sure her since then. But I'm excited for her kicks to get stronger, it was such an amazing feeling.

@July, I'm going to BabiesRUs tomorrow to do some shopping with my Mom! I already know what bedding I want, can't wait to start painting the baby room. But I can't pick out too much because my husband is out of town for a week and he wants to be involved in everything

One thing I highly recommend July is finding a good "due date" group online. That way you have a large group of women who are all going through the pregnancy stages at the same time you are. Everyone is so different with the symptoms you get. If I was listening to just my mother (she had the EASIEST pregnancies in the history of the world) then I would be panicked that I'm a freak. Instead, every time I have a new crazy symtpom pop up I go to my due date forum and there is almost always at least a few posts of women who are experiencing what I am at exactly the same time. It's a big relief to know you're on track and normal and also to get some remedies hopefully from each other.

I don't have any pics yet because their isn't a whole lot to see yet. I can feel when I sleep at night on my stomach that their is a little bump there but it isn't all that noticeable. That being said I am 15 weeks now. FH and I are super excited not doing a whole lot as far as shopping because it is still kind of early and we don't know what we are having so we are going to wait until that point. But all is good feeling a little tired and all that good stuff and we are now buying a house in the midst of everything so that is getting me a little bit more exhausted. But it is all good and I am super excited about everything!

Sooo to tell u the ailments that have recently popped up, well some have been around but have just gotten worse since i'm bigger now...feet and hands swelling to ridiculous porportions I now have to wear my husbands SOCKS! hip aches, especially while sleeping, that really are excruciating and make me understand now why pregnant women "waddle".total exhaustion like I haven't felt since the first few weeks of pregnancy.very hard to breathe ever, like a bowling ball sitting on your diaphram. full carpal tunnel syndrome in my hands, pressure in all your nether regions, I'll just say it's not a pretty sight down there!!and my newest most horrible symptom, I woke up drowing on my own vomit because if I lay down flat the baby pushes my stomach contents upwards so I have to always be on 45 degree incline which makes sleeping even harder than it was! there is more I'm sure but that's prob enough for you to "digest" now lol I just keep telling myself it's all temporary but 2 more months of this?

Yikes! See, now that I know all that, I will never sleep on my back when I'm at your stage. I've had a lot of late pregnancy problems already, and very early too so I know I am in for a wild ride!

Turns out I'm not pregnant. 6 tests confirmed it as well as a doctor. Not sure why i've been having cramps for nearly over 3 weeks, but if they continue I'll have to get that checked out.

Oh I wasn't on my back july...you can't sleep on your back before you even get to my stage...I was on my side, thank god but it was still awful waking up choking and drowning on acids. Trying to find ANY position to sleep in becomes quite and adventure early on, this just added yet another obstacle, now I have about 10 pillows stacked up so keep my sleeping practically upright, I hate it. And it happens all day for no reason too, not like I throw up, burp or even hiccup..the stomach contents just come spilling up out of my throat for no reason like a water bottle that''s been filled too much! Turns out many women in my due date group have all been having this too. I hope you don't get that one! lol
