Anybody doing a first look with your dad?

I did this. I think Jessie'sGirl was the one that gave me the idea.

Do it. Like no second guessing, just have it done. I told my photographer ahead of time, we got a location, and my dad came in to see me. Oh my gosh. I hope the pictures turn out well, but I'm never going to forget the look on my dad's face (or the fact that he was like starting to bawl, and he never cries). It was super, super special and only took five minutes.

I'm pretty sure it was the only time I cried before/during the ceremony. Well that and when my mom gave me a wedding gift.

Yes, I did a first look with my dad and husband. I knew my dad would be a mess seeing I am his baby. As you can tell he was struggling to hold it together.. I didnt need that right before we walked down the aisle. hahah

I'm planning to do a first look with my dad and also doing a first look with FH.

I am!!! I want the photo taken behind my shoulder so you can see a bit of me in the foreground, but the focus will be on my dad. I imagine it will look something like this.

I am also hoping to do a first look with my mom, FMIL, FFIL, and my step-mom with photos taken the same way.

I am!!! i LOVEE this idea. im very traditional also and i am not doing a first look w my fh. i seen this on pinterest and i just love this idea! i cannot wait to do it. as least we still get to do a first look - just with our dads

I am doing this too. and I know I'll cry like a baby. I am the only child...his only little girl. ohp. I just teared up typing this.

My dad is very much not an emotional person. my mom was looking up pics for her and I to take on pintrest. My dad got really mad because "what am I? chopped liver? I am her dad!"... so I take it that I will do a first look with him.

Okay, you guys totally just convinced me!!! I'm in - now I just need my dad on board. He's such a guy's guy, but very emotional under certain circumstances. I'll have to tell him closer to the wedding so he has no time to change his mind!

I wish my family showed emotions like this. My dad will probably punch me in the arm and say something like "Who knew you could clean up so nice, kid. Now let's do this..." My dad or mom are not emotional people...

I am extremely emotional and my dad is fairly emotional as well. I told him I needed to seem him before he walks me down the aisle so I can have some sort of composure. That being said, I will also be doing a first look with my FH.

OMG I love this idea. My dad may not be a super emotional person, but I would probably get more emotion out of him then my mom. My mom honestly could care less that I'm getting married and I had a breakdown last weekend about it because FMIL has been helping so much and wants to be involved while my mom is more concerned about throwing her dog a birthday. I need to do this with my dad so I have some emotion with family members!

My dad is thee biggest cry baby I have EVER met so I decided a while ago (when I first heard about it, probably from Jessie's Girl) that I was doing this. I can't spend all day without my mom seeing me and being with me for hair, makeup, etc. so I will not be able to do one with her but I can't wait to see how it goes with my dad. I am not doing one with FI as he is super traditional. I know that I will have to have my makeup fixed when I am done with dad. We love to cry together LOL

Im on the fence with doing one with my dad but i am thinking of doing one with my older sister

I am definitely doing this with my dad. I'm the epitome of a daddy's girl so I know he'll be really emotional and I just want to be able to share that with him

I think we might have to do this. My dad's a total cry baby when it comes to family. And if I see him cry I join him almost instantly lol. We'll need to get all those tears out before heading down the aisle!

I wore his mom's dress and i wanted that moment with just him and me. It was so special.

He doesn't know it yet, but yep!
