Am I going to get side eyed for this?

So we all know that wearing white to a wedding is a no no but what about wedding hair? I have a wedding in November and I was thinking of doing my wedding hair trial that day since a wedding is the only time I can think of that an updo wouldn't be too dressy. I have a wedding in November and I was thinking of doing my wedding hair trial that day since a wedding is the only time I can think of that an updo wouldn't be too dressy. I know it's early for a trial but I'm realllly not trying to pay 70 bucks to sit with pretty hair on my couch lol If somebody showed up to your wedding with an updo like this would you side eye them? What did you do after you got your trial done?

90% of the time I get my hair done for weddings and fancy parties. It's long and I don't have the patience to style it daily let alone for an event.

This is a great idea, I wish I had an event to try that out with. Unfortunately all the weddings I know of next year are after mine.

I wouldn't think anything of it. People aren't going to be looking at every detail of your hair do. That would be stupid if a guest in that wedding points out your hairdo and ask why do you have a "wedding updo?" It will be weird. It's not like you are going with your veil on. You should be fine.

That wouldn't be an issue at all. You're allowed to look fabulous at any wedding other than your own! That would be like saying oh nope it's not my wedding so I can't go get my hair or make up done! Get it done girl and show it off!

I doubt the bride will notice. She probably has a lot going on that day. ;-)

I think you're totally fine with that hairstyle, I was actually considering having my makeup trial done before a wedding I'm attending for the same reason, who wants to get all prettied up with nowhere fabulous to go?! If you're uncomfortable getting it done for any reason, another bride gave me some good advice regarding hair/makeup trials...she got her's done before one of her last fittings so she could see her whole look put together before the wedding.

I always get my hair done when I go to a wedding, I suck at doing my hair so I kind of have to so I don't look like a complete slob. I agree with everyone else I think it's fine Smiley smile

I think it is perfectly fine to do! I get my hair done for weddings all the time.... simply because I have a ton of hair but I am terrible at styling! I am actually thinking of doing my hair trial before going to a wedding as well. I agree with it feels pointless to spend that kind of money to sit at home all dolled up Smiley smile I say go for it! Maybe just don't wear the same color dress as the BMs.

I wouldn't side-eye you! For all they know, you can do your own hair this way. I have a friend that wears her hair in an updo almost every time we go out - regardless of whether it's out to dinner or to a wedding.

I don't think anyone will notice and some people are really good at doing their own hair. I'd probably think that!
