Am I going to get side eyed for this?

soon2bemrs2017, on September 29, 2016 at 4:11 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 56

So we all know that wearing white to a wedding is a no no but what about wedding hair? I have a wedding in November and I was thinking of doing my wedding hair trial that day since a wedding is the only time I can think of that an updo wouldn't be too dressy. I know it's early for a trial but I'm realllly not trying to pay 70 bucks to sit with pretty hair on my couch lol If somebody showed up to your wedding with an updo like this would you side eye them? What did you do after you got your trial done?

I'd say nobody would side-eye you... as long as you don't show up with your veil and/or headpiece.

I wouldn't side-eye...and I hope other people say they wouldn't either, because I've gone as a guest to weddings before with an updo. I suck at doing my hair and always go get it done for an event like that when I'm dressing up.

ETA: but I would definitely remove any overly sparkly accessories like combs, etc. if you are using that in your trial. That might be a bit much.

I don't see anything wrong with having your hair like that at a wedding.

    Exactly what @Mrs.KatieK said.

Or show up with a princess crown on your head. Get your make-up done too! Why not?!

I think you should be fine! I can't imagine that I'll even notice my guests' hair at my wedding. Now if they were wearing white, that's a different story...

No I wouldn't they probably won't know that it's a trial for your wedding unless you told them. I like that hairstyle.

I don't see any problem with that! I've gotten my hair done in an updo before for a wedding because it was hot out and I can't do it myself because I'm like 10 years old when it comes to beauty things.

Nope not at all. I would think your one fly guest coming to a wedding. If you are not wearing a veil or white, I see. no problem with it.

I don't think there is such a thing as "wedding hair"

    it's an up-do.

    period.

people get them for all sorts of events.

No side eye, it's just hair. Now if you were wearing a tiara or flower crown then expect some side eye. I say do the trial. I love that hairstyle too!

My friend had her hair and makeup trial done before a friends wedding and she looked great. Just like @mrskatiek said, just don't have hair pieces in

I would make sure you remove the veil/head piece or anything like that. If it looks weird without, you could add a flower instead.
