Disastrous Wedding Dream

Anjelik, on January 22, 2020 at 1:24 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 10

I had a nightmare last night and everything went wrong for my wedding... I lost my dress so I was using someone elses that was too big for me, and then my FH saw me before the big reveal and I had an anxiety attack in my dream and thought that we were going to have bad luck forEVER.... and the photographer never came!! I woke up sobbing in the middle of the night!!! Has anyone else been through that?

Yep, I had a dream once where I somehow missed my own entire wedding? Lol. Honestly I “loved” having wedding nightmares (not at the time of course, but after waking up haha) because then it would make me realize that no matter what may go wrong on the wedding day it couldn’t possibly be as bad as the dreams 😂

I had many wedding nightmares but my worst one was where my husband had to ceremoniously divorce his ex-wife in a white dress at the wedding. I woke up pretty traumatized.

I had a nightmare that our officiant and our photographer forgot about the wedding and I was in the wrong dress! I was so happy once I figured out it wasn’t real 😂

I have had so many wedding-related stress dreams. They hit me when we need to make a big decision (the most recent being the dress). They're the worst and I hate them and I can't wait for the stress to be over.

I actually recently had a dream where I woke up thinking "well that was a disaster. I need a redo" lol.

My dress was completely different than planned, I forgot my shoes so I had to wear dandelion print oven mitts, our wedding was outdoors and it started to DOWNPOUR and so guests started leaving so when I walked down the aisle there was only a handful of people, my dad walked WAY too fast, and FH wasn't even paying attention lol.

Wedding nightmares are common. I always think they're related to what you're actually nervous about in real life

Haha, I've had a few wedding nightmares. The latest one had me at the venue, 20 minutes before the ceremony was to start, and I hadn't gotten my hair and makeup done yet. My sister was still getting her makeup done. Then, our DJ ghosted us and our ceremony musicians were no where to be found. The dream ended with my FH and I sitting on a bench (still before the ceremony) with me looking at him and saying, "Well, at least this is all a dream and not our real wedding day." Pretty hilarious in retrospect, but not fun when it's so vivid that you think it's real for a minute.
