Disappointed about my Bridal Bouquet :-(

LavenderJoy, on August 15, 2014 at 8:10 AM Posted in Planning 0 26

I ordered my Bridal Bouquet, 7 bridemaid bouquets, 7 groomsmen bouts, 1 groom bout, and few extra bouts from Budget-bride.com. My order arrived yesterday (2 weeks earlier... No complaints there) and I loved everything that came EXCEPT my Bridal Bouquet. I kept looking at it and tried to justify it but I absolutely hate it.

The picture to the right is from the website and the picture to the left is what I received. They look NOTHING alike to me. The one on the website looks ivory or off-white and the one I got looks "peachy". What do you all think?

It DOES look a bit peachy, but it also looks smaller than the stock photo. The purple flowers in the one you received look way too large and as if they were added in as an after thought and sloppily done. Personally, I don't like either and would be disappointed if I received it. I would get on the phone a convey your concerns to the company you ordered it from and see what can be done

I would definitely contact the company. The purple flowers are overbearing and the greenery is missing.

I think the picture on the left has a few of the purple flowers tucked around the larger ones. The bouquet you received, looks like it just has the purple flowers everywhere (and more than what is in the first photo). I'd take some of the flowers off, using the original photo for guidance. But I'd wait on that if you are planning on contacting the company.

EDIT: You are missing the green, and it does look peach instead of white.

I definitely think it looks a little peachy, but kind of like the peach and purple together. I 100% agree with Maltese! You should get them on the phone, find out someone direct email, and send them the two photos while you have them on the phone so they can see!

Oh!...can we see the ones that you DID like? Smiley smile Smiley smile Smiley smile

Oh no! That's so sad! At least you got it early to be able to see difference and hopefully have time to get it fixed or reimbursed.

They definitely do not look the same. The purple flowers you got seem more in abundance and don't look as "tucked in" to the boquet. Definitely call them up and ask for a refund or exchage. I also think the stock photo (along with the peachy vs white) shows that there is a bit of white in the purple flowers or at least some color gradation.

    Good luck, lady!!

I'd definitely contact them and get new ones or return it and take your version to a florist to have you bouquet done up with some real flowers. Treat yo'self.

I think it's also not blended well. Does that makes sense? Like the stock photo looks softer and more romantic.

Are they fake flowers?? Otherwise, isn't it bad if they came that early??

I would be really disappointed also, I would ask them for a refund and send them back and have a florist make me one.

It definitely does not look the same. It's still pretty, but in it's own way. I hope they can get you the one you ordered! The purple flowers look TOO purple.

Since they made the BM bouquet's correctly, I'd assume they could do the bride bouquet correctly too. Someone was just in a hurry and didn't care. I definitely think contacting them and pointing out all the ways that it doesn't look correct should fix the issue... back it up with how exact the BM bouquets look if you need to. Logic them to death, and you should be good.

Thanks for all the advice ladies!

So as you all suggested I emailed them and let them know I was not happy with the bride bouquet. I told her that I just really disappointed because it does not look like the photo online and thats what I had my heart set on. She said she will work with me to get it to what I want. She said she can use the same white roses from BM bouquets with orchids but then it would cost me more. I got annoyed with that because my bouquet was from the "Passion Collection" which was $150 and my bridesmaids were from the "Spencer Collection" which were $100. I pointed that out to her so she said she can re-do it for the same the price but it would be a rounder bouquet rather than cascading like the one pictured on her website. I said ok fine. So I am going to mail the one I received back to her today and wait for the replacement. I hope I like it. If I don't I am going to have to suck it up and have a florist make my bouquet and hope they don't charge me an arm and a leg!

I'm glad she's working with you! But damn, she should have made it LOOK LIKE THE PHOTO without charging you any more. That's some false advertising for sure.

Oh and someone commented that it is bad to get you flowers early because you don't want them to die (I am on the WW mobile app and can't scroll back to see the person's name)...

My flowers are artificial. I decided very early on in the planning process I would do artificial flowers because I am not a flower person and refuse to spend thousands on flowers... To each is own though! :-)

I would have argued a little more. That bouquet looked nothing like the picture. It's not a matter of you not being happy with it, it's them not doing it correctly. You were even missing pieces!

Since you're stuck with the old bouquet, I'd try picking some of the purple off and see if you can get it to look more like the photo. You might even be able to go to a craft store and find some leaves you can attach with hot glue. I'd play around with it as best you can, and then when you get the new bouquet, you can decide which one you like best. At least that way, you'll have something close to what you originally envisioned just in case the second one doesn't come out quite right. And then, you still have the option of contacting a florist.
